« A Magnifique Stay »

We arrived by taxi from Gare de Montpellier St Roch, a 5 minute ride. We new that we would be an early arrival before chech-in time, so our room was not quite ready, no problem. The reception staff offered the bar and pool area until our room was ready. We had a pleasant lunch and drinks. On check-in once again it was a breeze and the reception staff were very very helpful, even assisted in taking our bags to our room, a very nice touch. We were fortunate enough to be given a room upgrade on level 7, very much appreciated. The room was very comforatable, with adequate space, comfortable bed and nice shower. The one thing that really impressed us was the very friendly staff throughout the hotel which goes a long way to a most enjoyable stay. The hotel for us was located perfectly as we like to walk and explore. Tram is a few minutes walk along with St Roch station. We would have no hesitation in staying here again. A special mention to the staff in the restaurant and reception, so friendly and helpful.

« Service was excellent but disappointed by the pool »

The service in this hotel is excellent but one of the main reasons I booked to stay here was so that we could relax by the pool on the sun loungers that are shown in the photos on the website. These don’t exist! Also, the pool faces east so only gets the sun in the morning and early afternoon so not very warm either!

The overall experience was good. The valet service was very helpful and that no additional cost was charged and the parking fees were the regular fees made it very convenient. Generally good service. The gym is very small, although for our purposes (treadmill only) nothing was missing at all.

Happy with our stay. Hotel impossible to find by car without GPS. Need very detailed directions on website. Gym space very tight. Equipment reasonable. Could do with at least one more barbell and a few more weights. Booking.com also asked us to rate you.. Two requests for one stay is too much.

« Just little touches missing »

Our first night we had no aircon and had hot and restless night. Nothing could be done as full occupancy and understand that. We received no notification the next day that it had been fixed, so when noises came from ceiling the next night, we did not know if all happening again, luckily not so. The staff we most apologetic when they came to the room both nights. The next day we received a note stating AC fixed, but if we wanted a room move they could accommodate. We didn’t as no need, and they took cost of first nights room of our bill ( welcomed of course but not our objective) We also spent some time by the pool, and was surprised that as patrons left the tables were no cleared, and as new people arrived they did not know if occupied or not. As to our service, we ordered drinks at bar, one that I took with me, the other I was told they would bring out for me. After 10 minutes I went back to enquire where is was, response was I forgot, and not even an apology. Overall not to standard of Accor I am used to, please take as constructive feedback Mark Lockwod
