I enjoyed my five days stay at the Mercure hotel Den Haag Central. The staff were very helpful with info on how to get around town and i also relished the array/variety of pastries and fruits provided for the daily buffet continental breakfast.

« The hotel has nothing special »

In terms of rooms there is always something broken or doesnt work. Once I stayed there and there was a mirror broken and the second time i stayed there there was light broken. I felt likeI was the maintenance guy reporting all the broken stuff and asking them to fix it, trust me this is not a nice feeling as a guest who is looking for comfort during their stay in your hotel. The breakfast is not all that, the room service menu is bad. Once I stayed there the room service menu in the room wasnt there and dont get me started with how long and tedious is it to get a menu, the second time i stayed the room service menu was and OLD one! the level of cleanliness of the room is SO BAD! They dont wipe of the tables, so if you have a stain on the table it will be there forever. They dont remove any dirty cups, cutlery or even dishes, Im not sure if i was suppose to take it myself to the kitechen!. They would see dirty stuff and they wont clean it. The staff try to be helpful but they are skilled for it. Their first answer is always no or we cant do it.

« Good hotel for a short trip »

I stayed at the Mercure for one say only. Everything was fine. In the rooms it can get noisy when someone opens a door nearby and it sounds as if somebody is trying to enter the room. Breakfast was good, I just did not find any honey even if the hotel says they produce their own honey!

The hotel was high quality and very stylish. Reception staff were helpful providing directions. The rooms and communal areas were modern and very clean. Please dont demand a credit card for the refundable deposit on arrival. I have still nt received the pending transaction back in my bank account despite checking out nearly a week ago. I knew I would not be using the extra hotel services but had to deposit all the same.

I was overall satisfied as always when staying in an Accor hotel however I still regret not enough is being done in terms of single-use plastic for the coffee available in the room or the teeth brushing cups made available
