« It was very uncomfortble being in my room »

This is the second time in the last couple of months that it has been unbearably hot in my room. I wanted to relax and do some work in my room in the evenings and was not able to due to the heat. I know it does not always get very warm in Sheffield but it does and there are no means to make a guest stay comfortable. I am seriously thinking of not staying at this location especially in the summer. I am coming to Sheffield in August again and most likely will not stay at your hotel. Which is a shame.

Good car park and easy check in. Pool was okay. Rooms no better than a travel lodge which would have been much cheaper. Separate toilet which was pretty dingy, with no sink. And there was no air con.. unless the thermostat controlled it which then didn’t work. Not great in the heatwave.

Lovely clean spacious room.Parking on site .Sign a bit confusing advertising £9 a day, but it turned out to be £13.50 if you stay overnight. Normally per day to me means 24 hrs. Drinks expensive at the bar. Overall very happy though.

Our welcome and check-in were friendly and quick. Your charge for car parking is steep. The room was spacious and well equipped. It was a disabled room so the bathroom was a bit clunky but was ok. We found the bath towels surprisingly small and thin for such a quality of hotel. Breakfast was excellent.

The breakfast is self service so you can have as much as you want, a wonderful selection of food, and the coffee is also very good. The staff are friendly and very helpful, they can't do enough for you. The evening meals I had were excellent and nicely presented, and a good selection of beers. The rooms are always kept clean and tidy. For anybody arriving in Sheffield by train, the hotel is within easy walking distance. Overall a very nice experience.

ok - was a bit of a dark room with little AC and pillows that heated my head made it very stuffy and hard to sleep - had to keep windows open to get air and drunk people kept making noise in adjacent hotel keeping me up late. otherwise breakfast was good - good price - staff was nice and bed was fine

Welcome was fantastic. All the staff - reception, bar, breakfast, cleaner all amazing. Several minor issues with room - pillows were dreadful, sofa bed mattress not up to standard for an adult, the lights flickered in the bathroom and weren't sorted till late on the second day, plug didn't work in the bath and got stuck meaning we had to use tweezers to try to lift the plug to empty water. Several broken nails. Not good on a brand new manicure. Appreciate that towels aren't bleached to save the environment but our towels had so many dirty marks on them that we had to take them back to reception. Even the receptionists were shocked at the state of the towels. That, said, staff were really attentive when we let them know the issues and did provide new towels on request.

« rooms and facilities are good but staff are not. »

the receptionists are not very professional. they just gave me a key while in other hotels receptionists are enthusiasm and will introduce the hotel facilities, city, etc. I run out of facial tissue during my stay but I the cleaners did not fill the tissue box.
