We were offered one of the newly decorated rooms on floor 7. Having stayed at ibis Paris Bastille Opéra many times in the past the concept with the hotel is clearly simplicity and usability and that is what we enjoy. The changes whilst welcome there needs to be a bit more thought in terms of the wiring for the lights, they hang rather than clipped to the metal frame.

« Great location, rooms need renovation »

Your location and staff were wonderful. The hotel rooms need to be renovated. The bathroom was full of black mold, the air conditioner did not work and did not blow out any air. We had to ask for a room fan and keep our window open. The cleaning left a lot to be desired and the hallways had no air circulation. We have stayed at several Ibis hotels before and this was the first time I have had these sort of complaints. The one I am presently in, in Amsterdam is so clean and airy and it puts the one in Paris to shame!

We use IBIS regularly - you know what to expect. Great staff, great in-house bar, adequate breakfast, nice public areas. En-suite bathrooms are often a little tired and the towels are always poor. But for city-centres, the prices usually offer great overall value-for-money.

« Not a good experience »

I feel the need to send you a note after out stay at your hotel. We were very disappointed and feel that for the price we paid we thought we were getting a better place to stay Your rooms are very small and worn out (shower floor stained, peeled door paint, poor patch up walls, curtains that do not work) you do not provide hand towels and the ones we got were old and worn out. The clerk that checked us in charged us for breakfast again (we had already paid for it) and the one that checked us out (September 28th,2019 at 6:30 am) gave us wrong information about how to get to the Airport by train and wanted us to get a Taxi for 55 euros. Please, if you are going to charge for the amenities that a 3 star hotel should have at least have them be in working order and provide basic linens. On a positive note some of your staff was nice

Me and my wife strated our vacation in Europe spending 3 days at ibis bastille. Temperature in Paris was 30*Celsius at night and the air conditioner in our room did not work at all!!!!! I complained every single day and people of the reception always gave me a different excuses even that it was a problem with the machine, when I asked to change the room. The matter is I paid in advence and stayed in a terrible room did not receive the service for what I paid. I want my money back. And you can check with the reception because I ordered to register my claim every night. It was unsound and unhealthy. I made a video showing the machine do not work at all.

« Room was well BELOW my expectations. »

Very disappointing. The floor in the bathroom was FILTHY. There was significant RUST around the door and baseboard (where floor and walls meet). The shower was NOT attached to the wall, because the one single screw had become dislodged from the wall. The air-conditioner was not fully functional, and when I looked at the FILTER, it was CLOGGED, DIRTY and DISGUSTING. Reception staff were insouciant (carefree and detached). The staff in the RESTAURANT were pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was quite good. Our room was on the THIRD floor, and I believe there were renovations on the floor either above or below, because every morning at 8....8:30 the noise and hammering started. Unpleasant stay.
