I enjoyed the new decor and reorganized facilities in the newly refurbished room. A problem with the bathroom door handle was, however, unfortunate. Staff were all helpful and breakfast up to the usual standards.

Unfortunately I had a delay with my baggage from Copenhagen which spoilt my Paris stay but the reception Staff were very helpful and tried their best to assist. It was my 70 th birthday during my stay and I was Very surprised and pleased with hotel decorating my room with balloons petals and gift on the bed. Thank you.

Fantastic jungle-style lobby which immediately gives the idea this IBIS is seriously busy with environmental support. Great service, silent rooms and corridors, perfect location to many landscapes but also nice restaurants and bars for the evening. Metro is 5 minutes away. We will be back!

« Disappointing »

Almost everything fell below expectations. we paid extra for a guaranteed early checkin, but the room was not ready. We had made an overnight flight, so we wanted to be able to rest. When the room was ready. It was directly below a room where they were using an air hammer or some other tool that was very loud, so we could not rest. On top of that, the air conditioning was shut off all that first day and night. We had chosen this property largely because of the air conditioning. The staff, although not unfriendly, seemed indifferent to our complaints about all of the above.

« Very dated and old hotel »

Room on first floor was quite small; decor and furniture and fixtures were antiquated; the carpets in pathway of First Floor where the room was located was dirty and full of spots; the reception area decor was of 60’s period; the only two redeeming features was the breakfast and helpful attitude of front office; I would not stay in this hotel again. It was unbecoming if IBIS brand, which I mostly stay in.

I like the Ibis concept and think the hotels are well designed for their purpose. However, I experienced a few maintenance issues and had to change rooms. The 1st room had a strong mold spell in the bathroom. The 2nd room was better but there were cracks in the bathroom wall around the door, mold at the bottom of the shower and the floor near the entry door was worn. The room was also hot and stuffy and I could not adjust the air conditioner to fix it.

Overall it was a pleasent stay at your hotel even though I think this was the smallest room I have got in a hotel in the last few years. I think you must find a way to ventilate the corridors because there is a smell I can not characterise, but not so pleasent.

The lobby is beautiful, obviously newly renovated, so that's a plus. But in general, the hotel is old, small, nothing to write home about. We thought Ibis Styles were meant to be a bit more fun than what this hotel was. Other Ibis Styles had artwork in the rooms etc but this was and boring room ever. It was cleaned ok, huge dust bunnies under the bed though. Staff were 90% good, except for two. One person told my parter off for half sitting, half lying on a chaise lounge in the lobby (which is bizarre) and another basically accused me of accusing his staff of stealing when I asked I they have a lost property system. Sadly, the negatives outweigh the positives here. Not so bad that it's a "do not go" warning, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Entry foyer is lovely but deceptive. Rooms are very small, and very basic. Not even a bottle of water or a hand towel was provided. Bathroom absolutely tiny and not hygienic. There was black mould on the ceiling and inside the shower.

Minus : Small room Plus : Nice makeover and renewed => More automatisation would be usefull to guests and personnel => use of electronic key card to identify prepayment for the meal would be big + Big Plus = Very helpfull and friendly staff Big Minus : No sprinklers in Hotel - at least none I could see Minus = No recycling waste bin ( eg for plastics etc )

« Clean & Efficient Accommodations »

We only stayed for one night, but found the accommodation clean and efficiently-designed. We also appreciated being able to leave our luggage after checkout in a well-managed storage locker for the rest of the day so we did not have to lug it around with us on the metro while we went sight-seeing. Check in and check out were both speedy and efficient too. Beds were comfortable and hotel was quiet after 10pm. The hotel is also well-educated too for walking excursions and access to the metro.

We booked 3 rooms, air conditioner just didn’t work and rooms were very hot. Our sheets had a stain on them, and was finally replaced on day 3, then new sheets had a torn hole, but at least seemed clean, however sweating every night, is far from comfortable. We were on 4th floor and obviously much needed renovations were taking place, as loud banging and demolition was happening from 7.30am, so impossible to sleep, and with out warning, generally hotels let you know they are renovating, however nothing. 4 big rubbish bins were virtually at the front door and stunk terribly for 3 days, surely they could of been at side of hotel and not at the front door. On at least 8 occasions staff simply entered our rooms while we were in there, no knocking just let themselves in! We ordered drinks at bar which was fine, but a little surprised when told - No , impossible to charge back to our room. Needless to say we didn’t bother eating at hotel or have drinks as there were plenty of other places around. We generally like to support the hotel we stay at, and can also pick up loyalty points for spending as well. To put in context, I stay about 80-100 nights a year in hotels for work and travel, and have for last 15 years - this is the only bad review I have every written. Accor marketing has been good, and as a diamond Hilton honours member and Marriot Bonvoy platinum, IHG gold, we finally thought we would try Accor - we realise ibis is very different to your Sofitel label, however this was much worse than expected. And issues were basic, but made for a very uncomfortable stay, and quite frankly we were pleased to move on and get a good night sleep after 6 nights!
