The Ibis hotel is close to the train station. Small but comfortable room. Good heating of the room. Clean and quiet. The room has no fridge. Overall, it was a pleasant short stay. I would reccommend it !

I really liked the 5 min walking distance from the train station. Check in was flawless. Room (540) was initally surprisingly small, but for the short stay it was ok. Bathroom is also very small, which is not an issue, but problem is a window that looks towards other windows in the residential building. There should be some kind of shades on the bathroom window, otherwise all neighbourhood can see you taking the bath in the evening. Bathroom heater also have some kind of burnt smell. First morning I woke up early and went for breakfast around 06:15. Breakfast area was closed, so I asked person at the reception where should I get breakfast. And he answered with surprise "Breakfast? Hmmm..." Then he asked for my room number, followed by confusing situation where he was walking around the ground floor trying to find breakfast for me...obviously, he is a new employee, but he should know the basics at least. At the end I have found where to take the breakfast (it was just to early for the breakfast, but recetptionist did't knew that). Similar situation with the same person was day after during the checkout - when I wanted to check if my E-mail address is correct, it took about 5 mins for him to find this in the system. He than told me that it is his first week in the hotel... Receptionist is very polite and tries to help, but he needs the basic training on hotel facilities and system in order to avoid unpleasent situations and improve efficiency. Overall, I would not select the same hotel for my next visit to Munich.

Room very very small compared to the IBIS average. No space for the clothes and no space in the bathroom. Cleaning lady very aggressive, they tried two days in a row to enter in the room despite the "do not disturb cartel".

Could be better if a water bottle is kept to hydrate yourself. Was not allowed to checkin until I do the payment, although requested that I was in a rush to get back and will do the payment in couple of hours.

It was one of the best serviced hotel that I've stayed in. I requested for an early check-in which is 4 hrs earlier than that standard check-in time and they happily agreed to my request. The breakfast was as also more than satisfactory.

I was extremely happy when noticed that there were both lactose-free and gluten free ingredients at the breakfast. Even if rooms were really small, they were clean. However, i wonder if there could be small separate towels for each individual to that man can use big for body and hair and small for hand and face.

I have stayed here on several occasions, in fact almost every time I am in Munich. Each time, the stay was always pleasant as I have early check-in (my flight usually arrives at about 6am in the morning), clean comfortable room and good breakfast. I usually checked out by 11am as my flight is usually at about 2pm but this time, I took a later flight at 7pm instead. I requested for late check-out and was told that I can only have the room until 2pm that day, as the hotel was fully booked. I asked if it could be extended slightly later till about 3pm which would be a better timing for me. To my surprise, the rooms are no longer "fully booked" and I was told, I could extend it until 6pm by paying EUR15. I paid for the extension since it is not a big amount but my disappointment was, why was I told the rooms were fully booked and a short extension could not be granted but only to be told within the next minute that the extension is available but with an extension fees. Another request I have is for laundry services to be offered. I am there usually on business and certainly would appreciate a laundry services (pick-up & drop-off). While there is a laundromat a few doors away but a laundry service would be better (btw, during my stay, the iron in the ironing room was not working). In any case, thanks for the great stay (as always with Accor Hotels).

« Overpriced tiny rooms with no storage »

The hotel was clean and well located, but that is where the good review stops. The room was over EUR200 a night and no bigger than a cupboard! There was no storage space and although it was a twin, it was very difficult to fit two people's belongings. Additionally, at check-in the member of staff was unnecessarily rude to my friend who was checking into another room, over some trivial matter to do with his travel companion having arrived earlier. I don't intend to repeat a visit here
