Great location for central Birmingham and very easy to get into the main shopping street. Room was very warm, we were provided with a desk fan but warm air was just circulating. Bathrooms very small and hot when door closed. Didn't have any problems with noise even though it was a Saturday night - room was provided with ear plugs just incase.

A very pleasant surprise ! - we had never stayed at an Ibis hotel before, and will definitely stay at another in the future. Although facilities were compact and quite basic this is surely all you need for a one night stay in a large city ? For us at least, this worked out extremely well. The staff were great, very helpful - the room was small, but had all you might need, and in fact comes out well against many hotel rooms, in that facilities for free hot drinks, free bottles of water, free chocolate bars and fruit definitely are not offered even in the best of hotels ! The breakfast the next day was the biggest surprise of all, for the very reasonable price of the hotel overall, the breakfast was amazing - again, better than many large, expensive hotels. Again, not so much choice, but the quality of the cooked breakfast was brilliant, with staff attentive, forever cleaning and attending to the food table - brilliant. This little hotel in the middle of a big city does extremely well, and the company should be justifiably very proud of this hotels team of staff - well done Ibis Birmingham New Street Station !

Hotel was clean. Breakfast was satisfactory. Check in was straightforward. Check out was quick. Room was too hot, but a fan was provided. Room was noisy. Pillows smelt damp/ perhaps not washed. Excellent location.

I paid for late checkout, as in hotel on a course. Left food and water in room to have for lunch. When I went to room at lunchtime. Room had been completly cleaned for new people. Food and water thrown away. Girl in reception very nice gave me a bottle of water and refunded extra I paid for late check out. Had to go and buy lunch again, which was disappointing. Hotel was very clean and staff helpful. Only other concern was carpark . Alot of people like myself don't like lifts and only way once in carpark to reception is via a lift. Should have stair access .

Clean , tidy , modern , vibrant interior , basic but very clean rooms and communal areas , I didn't find the lack of a usual Reception area that great an idea , information needed to be clearer that anyone in a red t shirt could check you in , seeing as when I arrived the only person in red was pulling a pint for a customer , multi tasking gone to far , later on nearer 2 pm there was more staff around , the staff were friendly and helpful , the noise from the clubs around the hotel wasn't so much a problem but some of the drunk individuals were , also having the need for 2 door men ( bouncers) at the front of the hotel tells you more about the area , once inside felt totally safe , not that I felt threatened at anytime whatsoever during my stay , this hotel is in the China Village area next to the Gay Village , 5 mins from New st Station , Bull Ring and market and just over a mile from the Arena a pleasant walk past some great local points of interest , Symphony Hall , Sea Life Aquarium , Library , Town Hall and Canal with plenty of restaurants and places to eat , all in all a good stay

« OK stay - suited for one night »

Hotel is Travelodge like quality parked on top of a reasonably funky looking bar. Staff were all polite & attentive. Check-in was slick & lady 'S offered me a cold water as I was suffering from the heat. Room not super smart but fine, had what we needed & was all very clean. Had a quieter room towards back of building but due to extreme weather had to open windows to maximum. Air con didn't really achieve anything but electric fan was powerful and used earplugs to blot out nightclub noise until 4:30am.

Second time staying here. Really comfortable stay, perfect location for us. We arrived by car and find the car park really useful - although an EV charger would make it even better.

My stay was spoilt by your inability to supply a knife! When I complained to staff clearing up they ignored me. When I complained to her again, the message got across but ten minutes later, still no knife and I gave up as I had another appointment

The room was very spacious and a great place to get ready for our year 13 prom. We were welcomed by a lovely lady and when we had an issue with the tv it was quickly fixed. Breakfast was lovely and there was such a variety available. A great place to stay!
