« A good stay let down by the administration of receipts. »

I have stayed in the hotel a number of times and it was my preferred location to stay on business until it switched to providing (or not) receipts via email. On the face of it this should be a positive customer benefit, but only if the receipts are received. I can only recall receiving a receipt once in this way out of probably the last 6 times I have stayed - which is letting you down. This last time, I even entered my email address myself. But instead of a receipt I have received membership to your Le accor club, which I cannot use as my company book through a booking agent.

I had bought the trip to Birmingham for my partner, however, due to illness, I was unable to stay at the Ibis Hotel for New Year’s Eve as intended. I reached out to Rob and explained my situation to see if there might be anything at all that could be done. My query was answered with incredible understanding from Rob whom offered myself and my partner our stay at the hotel another time as a gesture of kindness! It was incredible to think that Rob would be that understand and empathetic. We stayed there over the May bank holiday and had the most wonderful time! Thank you again to Rob and his team for their fantastic kindness. The usual no-frills but excellent Ibis service. Clean, modern rooms, a comfortable bed and a decent shower. What else do you really need at this price?

Stayed Saturday night for Velo Birmingham. Reception staff couldn't be more helpful. Rooms are on the small side, but ideal for what I needed, and breakfast was included which was a bonus.

« Ok, but i did late checkout and if it wasn’t on the screen it wasn’t there »

Overall it was average, very expensive for what it was, the size and standard of the room poor for that money. Having to pay for parking was especially disappointing at £12 when it’s below the hotel and not an external car park. Was disappointing that I paid for late check out and booking was not on the system at 3 and room key was cancelled so getting things from the room and getting up to get changed was hassle as the person said it’s not on the screen your booking or name so it can’t be there.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly, also were the cleaning staff. Would have given 10 stars but disappointed in the size of the room for two people sharing a four night stay. No space for hanging clothes after we had hung our coats. or room for luggage, shoes, toiletries etc.

The hotel was perfectly located for our theatre trip The staff were there upon our arrival to welcomeus and check in was seemless. Room was clean and well equipped and even the nightclub didn't hinder us due to the double glazing. Breakfast was excellent and the staff again very friendly and helpful.

Staff were friendly and helpful, room comfortable and clean, with excellent shower!! Sadly the noise from nightclubs opposite is a problem you can do nothing about but we appreciated the earplugs!!! Also the tea in the room is awful!! Please could you provide something nicer!! Your staff are all excellent, especially Arita who helped us check in and ran the bar!!!
