very nice hotel great loaction. very practical city hotel. breakfast is simple but nice. cleaning of beathroom could be better. it would be nice if you give a bottle of water every day like in other 4 stars accor hotels.

« All in all a good Mercure hotel but was unfortunately left disappointed »

All in all a good hotel but some improvements are needed to make it great and up to normal Mercure standards. What was great about this hotel was the location, very central and close to almost all sights and the port. This was the main reason why I booked this hotel. The hotel looked nice and welcoming from the outside. I got a nice room with comfortable beds, nothing to complain about. Also nice to get a complimentary drink in the hidden bar, good that there were something else than just the vending machine. Being able to eat breakfast on the terrace was a very nice experience. The contents of the buffet itself was very good, that you could taste sfogliatelle was a big plus. But specially regarding the breakfast buffet there is room for improvement. The plates and glasses were regularly dirty, the fridges had cooling problems every day leading to water leaks on the floor and food going warm and soft (for instance the cheese and butter) which is not very nice when it is hot outside. Even the coffee machine (the one with real milk) was affected, one morning the milk had gone bad, the cappuccino it made tasted awfully and my stomach got upset. I had to run to the toilet but fortunately I didn't get sick. Worse of all was however the fact that I was charged 7.5€ for water in the room. There were no information in the room that the water was not for free and since there were no minibar and was very hot outside it is only natural that you assume that you can take the bottles without charge. Normally at Mercure water is for free (especially for Gold members) or explicitly stated otherwise. I felt cheated. Didn't at all feel like a valued customer. Didn't at all feel that my Gold status made any difference. I have stayed in many Mercure hotels in many different countries and have always had a 5/5 experience so I was really looking forward to staying at Angioino. Unfortunately I was left bit disappointed since the hotel didn't live up to all of its four stars.

AC wasn’t good enough and when I complained about the fridge it got replaced with one that wasn’t any better. No cold water, Staff was great, breakfast should be until 11 every day.

« A lot of money with very little hotel facilities »

On-Line check was made, but keys were not ready when we checked in. Room door only opened 45 degrees, not 90 degrees making it difficult to enter with suitcases. Bedding was clean but had holes in it, curtains were hanging off of the rails and also had holes in them. Bathroom was dated and not clean, with previous occupants hairs left on the bathroom floor. Vary poor facilities with no hotel bar, just vending machines for water and crisps...certainly not worth the money being charged for this room. The lifts were filthy and had sticky/greasy liquid in puddles on the floor. We will not be staying here again. Overpriced, dated and in poor condition

stayed here for 5 nights. chose to take the breakfast after trying it on day one. breakfast was ok for the money. it was the usual help yourself buffet with limited hot items. room was small but very clean and double glazing excellent. aircon was quiet and efficient. please change your web site as bar and evening meal are no longer available.

Long wait for check-in, room not clean, staff not so helpful, no restaurant on site (just vending machine). Breakfast ok but industrial. For this price and what is expected from Mercure standards, best to look at other options like the Ibis Styles which is a gem !

Hotel room only offered instant coffee. Bathroom was small and had black hair under the sink. I left my international charger and went back to hotel two hours later and it was no where to be found. Staff was nice enough to take me to the room which had been cleaned but no new guests checked in. The charger was gone but cleaners said they had found nothing in the room. Very disappointing....

We chose the hotel for it's proximity to the port and the metro. This made moving around Naples very easy. Hotel is also convenient for hop on hop off bus. The hotel needs to update it's website and other web sites as it no longer has an evening bar or restaurant. Breakfast was acceptable served in lovely room overlooking the castle . Once the building work at the port has finished it will be a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. Breakfast itself consisted of cereals, pastries,fruit,yoghurt and limited egg and bacon. Reception desk were very obliging and even offers to come to restaurant at rear of hotel to explain about husband son allergy to cheese. The double glazing and noise insulation is exceptional. We were over a bar and music club and can honestly say we never heard a thing. The bath has shower over and is very deep and I do think is dangerous to step out off as there are no handrails. Not ideal for the less agile. If we return to Naples would not hesitate to stay here.

After some of the previous reviews we were pleasantly surprised, the staff were friendly and very helpful the room was clean and tidy and location was ideal. very close to the port for ferries to Capri and Sorrento, and to pick up tourist buses to Pompeii etc, with a 15 min walk to the old town. the hotel does not have a bar or restaurant in the evening, but with so many good places close by it would be hard to compete. If your on a city break I would recommend this hotel.

From previous reviews we were Extremely surprised. From our arrival to check out the staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful the room was clean and tidy larger than some city hotels I have stayed in. The location was ideal for our visit close to the old town and a short walk to the ferries for Capri where you can also pick up tour buses for Pompeii etc.. There is no Bar or evening restaurant but there are so many great places to eat and drink close by it would be hard to compete. Although there was road works right out side I would recommend this hotel as a good safe place to stay within the city.

Overal is good, clean room, good location, great check in...food. Somethings make me only 7 is noise from water plumbing from room upstairs, extremely nice any time some one flushed toilet, n make me wake up while slept at night.

Rooms and bathrooms were shabby. No complimentary drinking water, plastic glasses in the room, old fashioned bathrooms. No option of calling the housekeeping from the room am requesting for anything if required. No porter to assist with the luggage. Also, the breakfast is terrible for vegetarians. All sugar coated cereals which no one eats. Even the scrambled eggs had meat in them and the waiter in the restuarant said it was vegetarian! The boiled eggs were cold and straight out of the fridge. Overall a terrible experience. Never staying with Mercure ever again!

Why do you charge for a bottle of water? Why do you use plastic glasses? The hotel is noisy, the only thing which is worth is to take breakfast at the balconny.

We chose this hotel for the roof terrace and bar both of which were closed despite beautiful photos online. There's no chef so exactly the same breakfast options each day. Reception staff were unfriendly and not particularly helpful although they were not in short supply.

The room was ok although there were no drawes to put anything in and only 2 hangers in the wardrobe, also the window in our room was quite small and dirty. It would have been nice if there was a small bar area in the hotel, you just have to go to your room.

« The information provided was misleading and disappointing »

We choose this hotel specifically because of the roof terrace, shown on your website as lit up at night. The roof terrace and restaurant were closed. Despite there being a large number of reception staff, they were neither friendly or helpful. I would however praise the cleaning staff. The breakfast was exactly the same every day with no chef in the kitchen! The hotel is set up to cater for clients staying one night only!

« The worst Accor hotel experience since 30 years loyalty. »

The front desk receptionist Maria, was most knowledgeable, helpful & courteous. The duty manager Alexandra was also understanding & tried her best to accommodate. The hotel rooms were acceptable. Unfortunately the hotel was advertised on the AccorHotels website with restaurant and bar, but upon arrival we were offered the usual welcome drink. The only choice was water or Coca-Cola, when asked if a glass of wine was an option, the reply was there is no bar in the hotel. I enquired if the restaurant could offer a glass of wine, only to be told there was no restaurant. The lifts indicated, the restaurant was on the 3rd floor & the bar on the ground floor, but those did not exist!! I had two bookings & I checked in online via the AccorHotels App. Only to find that I was charged €140 for each booking, 2x€140=€280 I questioned those two charges & I was told it’s for incidentals (mini bar, restaurant or bar charges??) but there is no restaurant nor bar!! The answer was it’s to cover the €3.50 tax & water from the room fridge. Well I would have had to drink 120 bottles of water during my 4 day stay to justify retaining €280 online. This is unbelievable & insulting to your loyal customers to grab payment online not ask for a credit card upon arrival & collecting the key. This has never ever happened before, and I will not allow this to happen again. This is not the way hotels welcome their loyal guests. Shame on Mercure NAPOLI. What a disgrace to the Accor Group’s reputation. Head office in France should take control of this fiasco at Mercure In Naples.

There is no bar although one was shown on hotel the web-site!?! The breakfast booking arrangement is very poor. One must pre-pay at reception BEFORE arriving at the restauarant if the breakfast has not been included in the booking; although this was NOT explained to us when we checked in. The room was clean but VERY small, even by Mercure standards. There was on-going works right outside the hotel (end May 2019). The traffic nose was intense. This was our first and last stay at this hotel.
