« Terrible first room »

Was “upgraded” due to platinum status. After a 10’ process to check in I got to the room which was very dated and obviously hasn’t been stayed in or checked for a long time. The ventilation system made a terrible screeching noise and several frames on the wall very crooked. I went back down and changed rooms to a normal one, much more modern clean and comfortable. Breakfast pretty basic for a 5* hotel, could be improved and nobody seemed to be working there. Gym very small.

« Low quality hotel with dreadful shuttle service. »

Tired rooms with little space. The worst experience was waiting with 2 kids in the rain for the shuttle, for 40 MINUTES. When the shuttle arrived, the driver decides to take everyone else and tell us that the bus is full, we have to wait for the next run. I understand he doesn't know that we waited longest, but he didn't even want to ask. In the time we waited, I saw other hotel shuttles twice or more, never full. This is completely unacceptable for an airport hotel late in the evening. People choose to stay overnight to rest during travel, that's impossible when you end up waiting so long that you have much less time to sleep.

« Unimpressive »

Our first room was shockingly loud. The air-condition hummed loudly all night, no one slept. We eventually asked to change rooms the following day and were given a different room which was far better. Sadly the room-move was not confirmed in the system (503) and at 22:30 when all were asleep a family entered our room causing great alarm to all. A second night were we did not sleep! Followed the next day by a 500km drive! The receptionist called our room immediately to apologise, eventually we were offered the next day´s breakfast as an apology. There were two different breakfast salons (three including the one for the neighbouring hotel!) which confused us and made us unsure whether we were in the correct part of the hotel. As a result the first day we could not enjoy the breakfast for the feeling of uncertainty. The second day we were sent to the second breakfast area where the coffee/tea Nespresso machine did not work! The shuttle-bus service was amazing! Thank you for such a service! The people working in the hotel were also all super! Everyone was so friendly and forthcoming. Well done to all! Especially the reception area. Enrique I believe was his name, many thanks!

Very comfortable beds good sized rooms and room facilities let down by shortage of staff and no food (other than room service). This is an airport hotel. We arrived at 4:30 pm afyer travelling all day to be met by one receptionist no bag handlers and advised that the sole pasta and burger restaurant,nothing better available, did not open till 8pm. This is a Pullman, we have stayed at many and this was not good enough.

Stay was fine. Hotel is comfortable. Beds gave us a good night's sleep. I booked two rooms, one for my wife and myself, a second for my daughter. Our room had a pool view and was quite, My daughter's overlooked the road which was noisy: a rubb8sh very reversing up the road eith it's warning bleeping was loud. Nor the hotel's fault but the pool view is the better option. His was an early season stay. The pool was not open, thpugh s family climbed over the wall and used it anyway. The seating area outside was closed. The carpets on the steps leading to the bar are worn and threadbare. Overall the hotel is nicely appointed but having stayed in Dubai Pullmans by comparison this one is a bit tired and needs an facelift to make it a truly international standard. Rooms much smaller than the Dubai Pulmmans- the Exevtitive rooms have no sitting rooms for example.

The room we were allocated smelt of garlic and Thai food so we asked to be moved which was fine. The new room had a cracked basin and a bit of a smell too. Comfortable bed and good Wi-Fi.

« Good but a few issues »

The Pullman is a nice hotel. The room was big, there were plugs next to the bed, the bathroom toiletries were well stocked and the shower was a good standard. Unfortunately, I ordered room service on the first night and when it arrived the sea bass dish was missing the Romescu sauce which meant it was just dry fish and courgettes. I had to ring down to ask for the sauce, the first person didn't understand me (I am not as bothered about this as I was speaking English in Spain) and had to get someone else to speak to me. Eventually the sauce arrived, but by this point my dinner was cold. I put the used dishes and trays outside my room to be removed and it took them over a day to take them. Given my room was next to lifts I am not sure how they could have missed it. Also, the hotel bar closes quite early for a residents bar and this is regardless of how many people are in the bar and want more drinks. Service is also pretty slow. Maybe this is a Spanish thing as in other hotels I stay in, residents bars remain open until the residents head to their rooms.

The hotel is located very well for my business in Madrid. The bar and breakfast buffet are fantastic. The staff interactions with the front desk were also really good. The one negative was the hotel decor looking its age. The red wallpaper and black floor look like something out of a bad horror film or worse. Also the floor in the room seems to be aging badly; scratches, varnish or polyurethane no longer there, baseboards beaten up.

« Convenient, but rooms in need of repairs »

I stay at this location frequently because it's a convenient walk to my office. I frequently note broken objects during my stays though - bathroom doors, shower doors, flooring coming up, stained furniture. Attention to these things would go a long way with guests.
