Fantastic location - central city. We had a room overlooking the harbour on a high floor which was worth the extra money. Staff were extremely helpful, obliging and friendly with lots of ready smiles. Our room was a good size for the 4 of us - 2 adults, 2 children, although we didn't spend large amounts of time in it. The room was clean and tidy with plenty of amenities. Breakfast buffet was very good. Dishes replenished frequently as needed. We would definitely stay there again.

The Mercure Grand is a great place to base yourself if you need to be in downtown and near the harbour. Hotel is very good, rooms well appointed and staff are very helpful. My only negatives - dinner in the restaurant, food quality was disappointing and don't try playing the piano in the bar, apparently while they have an excellent well tuned piano it is not allowed to be played, against hotel rules !!

This was my second stay at the Grand Mercure Auckland. It started off a bit off, with a confused and flustered receptionist checking us in - she was alone at the desk and didn't seem to know exactly what she was supposed to be doing. The room was fine, and breakfast was good. Checkout was easy. Overall, it's a good property and I'll stay there again.

Apart from the very cold breeze coming in under the window the room was great. Staff were also fabulous, especially the breakfast staff! Location made it easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Recommended.

As above, and while booked to stay on the 27th of Nov, probably will not be booking myself or my team in the hotel for Dec trip. Also cooked breakfast was luke warm - your pans did not keep the food hot unless you duhg done to the bottom of the pan - all a bit embrasssing to do while others are watching

Staffs are friendly, helpful. Hotel is located in a good area. The executive suite is beautiful with a harbour view. Highly recommend hotel in central Auckland. Rooftop bar and restaurant is impressive. Food is delicious as they running a fusion style sharing menu. You will feel like you are home when you stay in Grand Mercure.

We were very impressed with the service provided by staff from check in right through to check out. We arrived on an early flight in the middle of a downpour with two children and only expected to drop out bags until check in time however staff rearranged our room booking to enable us to check in immediately. Staff went over and above to ensure we were looked after and nothing was a problem. Our breakfast host was amazing and every morning ensured we had everything we needed throughout our dining. Best location and staff we have EVER experienced in a hotel in New Zealand.
