« Simple but satisfying. »

The room being simple, the availability and kindness of the personnel was pleasant. Paying 65 when the hotel was advertising 52 as we arrived was not.

« Hotel doesn't think about people who travels without car »

We have traveled with my wife to Porto and decided to stay in this hotel just simply because of the price. The biggest issue with this hotel is the location... It's just terrible. We traveled without car and faced a huge issue. Closest village is 25 min walk from which you can access to the bus which goes 40 min to Porto. Issue with the bus is that the latest bus from Porto goes from central bus station at 8PM or 7PM depends on the week day. When you arrive back from Porto, usually it's already dark outside and while you're walking from the village to the hotel there are no area at the road for pedestrians!! You should be extremely careful walking through the night by the road to access to the hotel. We were really scared of being hit by the car, but thanks God Portuguese drivers seems to be careful and were slowing down seeing us. We had this exercise 3 days. This hotel is just to oversleep and not for travelling without car. We were spending about 20 EUR per day on travelling to Porto and back to the hotel. So we better overpay a little and stay in Porto. The most important that seems hotel doesn't really care of travelers without car. About the room - quite old Ibis style plastic room. Nothing really to mention. The hotel is just to have a clean bed and somewhat bathroom.

Overall we were very satisfied with our stay. Check-in and check-out processes were quick and easy, the room was clean and tidy, as expected. The only thing that I could criticise was the mattress which I found it was too soft. But this is subjective, because my wife liked it!

The hotel provided a room with a door that communicates with another room. There’s nothing wrong about having a communication door as long as it has a lock. So I went into the room and while looking for de closet i went into another room where a couple was sleeping and wake them up at midnight. So I believe it was unpleasant for them as well (or not). So I went to the reception and the person at the front desk didn't understand the reason why I was so mad. Because after all was only a room with comunication.

« Room can be improved »

The hotel is already located quite far from the center, therefore I expected the room and facilities to be good. However the room is small and a bit old, bathroom door doesnt close properly, difficult to open and there was no hand towel. The hall was smelling a smoke badly, even though the policy is for non smoke. There isn’t power plug close to both beds, making it difficult to charge cellphones etc. overall the room experience can be improved.

« Last time in this Hotel »

After so many years knowing and staying in this hotel i just had enough. Every time i travel to Oporto i´ll often stay at Ibis Europarque Santa Maria da Feira. I personally know very well, and also i´m staying at this Hotel for at least 20 years. Its a shame how come this Hotel as be running by a useless and arrogant management at this present.. From the working staff point of view i can say that only two of them working there right now are really nice, helpful and always worried with the costumer. In my opinion the Director of this Hotel should be fired or be out of management team because she is so arrogant with clients, and was not only with me.. Maintenance and upgrade need to be done urgently in some rooms, air conditioned, bathrooms and a few other aesthetics issues should be sorted in my opinion. I´m Not happy, and i will not seeing myself or my staff in the future staying again in this Hotel, i will look at other options. shame!

« Good value for money »

The staff was always very helpful. Breakfast is great (good value for money). The hotel is a bit old and could use some renovations although it is clean and more than ok for 1-2 nights stopover and again it matches the price you pay.

« Good stay over night. »

Very good, it was not the first time. The only inconvenience was during the night, on a regular base we noticed a real strong noise in our room (as a laundry machine who is pumping out the water before starting to rotate to dry). This was very disturbing, and it is also the first time we got this problem, we are going when possible into the Ibis hotels when we are traveling. But in the morning before leaving we talked to the lady on the desk, and told her about the problem, and she would inform the person of the maintenance to take a look. The room was number 211 on the second floor.

As usual ir was great! The highlight this time was the fact that when I called the receptionist make us feel confortável and welcome regardless the time we were expecting to arrive. The breakfast great as well! The coffe machine was not working, but emediatly they provided was with another coffee from a different machine. Great!
