« Enjoyed our stay »

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Made to feel very welcome upon arrival. Our room was clean and a good size. There were shampoos etc in the bathroom and tea/nespresso machine in the room. We loved the welcome gift - a really lovely touch. We found all staff to be very friendly too. The hotel is well located for metro, trams and buses. There are a lot of nice restaurants nearby but you can easily walk to the centre of Budapest. Would recommend.

room - great customer service - great breakfast - English people like hot food - all hot food (porridge, scrambled eggs, waffles etc) were always low heat - all 6 days - disappointing swimming pool - good in-house restaurant - very expensive compared to local restaurants

Perfect Location, friendly staff, nice rooms and great view from the windows. Receptionists were nice and provided early check in for us. Also our room had windows facing Kalvin ter and we had an awesome view.

Staying wasnt as good as I expected. My room wasnt ready at almost 3 pm, waiting after 1 hour delayed flight wasnt so good because I saw people from my plane that got their room keys immidiately. Breakfast was very poor. I also asked for a wake up call at 3 am 26 of June but I didnt get it.

The hotel clearly hosts a lot of people every day but is prepared for that - so the service may not be very personal but is good, the hotel is clean, food is alright and you can get your rest. Perhaps its not right at the river but the area is nice and lively - definitely worth recommending

« An adequate hotel in a very good location »

The reception area was undergoing renovation, so check-in was rather messy. The safe in the room had no instructions and advice from the reception was inadequate to allow its use. The bathroom was too cramped to allow more than one person to be in there at a time, and the need to stand in the bath without a bath mat to have a shower is potentially dangerous. Drab décor in public areas. Breakfast provision no more than adequate.

I have reserved a 2 nights stay at Mercure Korona and since the day that I checked in till I checked out of the hotel, I have never seen a friendly courteous smile greetings from the staff at the reception. My request for an extra bottle of drinking water was rejected! It was a public holiday and all shops are closed, and I have nowhere else to get a bottle of drinking water.

Nice and clean room, friendly Staff. But a bit noisy and caotic with a lot of disturbing sounds from the workers. I was not informed of the renovation when I booked my stay. We Sat down in the bar for a drink one evening. No attention from the Staff do after about 15 mintes We went to the pub at the other side of the street.

« Not a great visit »

We were a group of 14 staying from 6th to 10th June 2019. We were not warned about refurbishment and arrived to find recection was being stripped out with pneumatic drills. The temporary reception was crowded with contractors and other guests trying to check in. We were basically ignored and left waiting on the pavement until a porter could be found, this taking half an hour, to lock our luggage in an old shop taken over as a left luggage facility. All very unsatisfactory. During our stay, beds were not made on two seperate occasions. The rooms we were allocated were small and one had inadequate hanging space. Overall we had a dissappointing stay.

I told the man who got us a cab that there were 2 tee shirts a lipstick and a comb missing from out room. He said he would contact housekeeping. I never heard back. I should have told the man at the desk when I checked out.

Globally quality and services are good for a 3 stars hotel. Just some remarks about the breakfast room which is quickly full and difficult to find a place. Waiting time at the cofee/tea machine. Seems that products are mainly industrial.Missing fresh ones.

The whole stay was very good. Everybody was nice, the room was super clean. The dishes at the hotel Bar were yummy despite the fact that tye hotel is undergoing a huge refurbishment. The location is very good, near an underground station, and the airport shuttle has their stop just nearby.

« I stayed as part of a group Fine Arts visit to Budapest. The booking through Tailored Travel was made last October and 18 of our party were not in the correct standard of rooms. »

I had to change rooms after 2 nights of our 5 day stay to a superior room which was much better and bigger than the original shoe box I had paid a single room supplement for. It did not have a safe in which was very irritating. The fact that the bar was under refurbishment meant it was difficult to socialise except when we had the area on the first floor on the first and last evening for drinks before dinner.

It was very disappointing to arrive and being told that you were overbooked and I needed to be re-allocated to other hotel. Nevertheless, “magically” after a lot complain from my side a room was available for me to stay in.

As you were informed at arrival, we were overbooked on the day of your reservation. Caused by unexpected circumstances - a technical issue, one of our partner platforms allowed to make reservations after 100% occupancy as well. This is the reason why we had to relocate you. As I double-checked the mentioned issue with my colleagues, upon check-in you told that you are staying with one of your colleagues and it is very important for you to stay in the same hotel. After an unfortunate experience of the room booked not being initially available the problem was resolved in a timely fashion. Although our room was small it was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. We enjoyed the excellent breakfasts and were extremely well looked after by Tamas and Viktoria in the My Bridge Lounge.
