Ok. The carpet in the room was stained and in need of a clean. Bedding was just about ok, pillows hard and not comfortable. Chefs should wear gloves or use tongs when handling food such as pastries. Front desk manned by only one person is unacceptable.

We stayed in this accommodation at the beginning of our tour and the end of the tour. The hotel is located very close to the pyramids and when the new museum opens. Customer service really needs to be improved especially at the front desk and when booking online through the acorr website. WI fi is only in the lobby area and it is very slow. Egypt really needs to work on their free WI fi in tourist areas so that the tourist can promote the amazing country.

We our a couple on a honeymoon. We arrived early than the check in time, so we requested if we can have an early check in. They accommodated the early check in but we were charged - we thought being an Accor member they can consider us for the early check in with no charge. We booked a room with Pyramids view but they gave us a room with blocked view of the Pyramids, also the refrigerator was broken. So we requested a room transfer. The rooms were not clean and had an unpleasant smell. The receptionist were not accommodating at all (we did not feel welcome), we were standing for few minutes before they will entertain us and had a very slow response time. We called the reception to provide us help with our luggage for the room transfer, after 30 minutes no one came so we transferred our bags by ourselves. During check out we also called for luggage assistance and they came after 30 minutes. Furthermore, the hotel's partner for the tours charge too high. We booked the Pyramids light show and instead they brought us to another hotel with the Pyramids view and forced us to write a review in Tripadvisor before leaving their hotel. Our stay was disappointing, especially with the fact that we are an Accor member.

The hotel has good rooms, Privelege Pyramid room was great. Staff friendly and helpful. Great pool. Check-in could have been smoother. I believe my balance was already paid. Email confirmation from Accor stated 'paid, owing at hotel $0' but reception said otherwise. I will check this with my credit card statement. Overall a pleasant stay.

Staying at this hotel was a really awful experience. So many things wrong with this hotel: - Reception staff don't greet and are not friendly. They are rude actually. Worst service experienced in an Accor hotel. - No welcome drink or ammenity (even though I'm platinum) - Front desk lady (Monica) refused to call the GM and Front Desk Manager - Front desk man (Mohammed) insisted breakfast was not included, when it was - No cups in the room - No lotion in the room - Called for an iron - they didn't bring one. - The description of the room is wrong on the Accor website - there are no minibars. You need to change this. Finally got to speak to the Front Desk Manager, and all he did was upgrade our room and give me the drink voucher (both are things which I should have had anyway! So what did he actually do?). He also asked them to take cups to our room - they brought ONE CUP! Ridiculous! Would never stay here again and would discourage anyone else from staying here, too.

I had to stay for two nights, I told the reception. but the reception deduct about 3 nights charges from my card, when I see the receipt , I complaint to him, then he said its by mistake & refund to me, but the amount for 1 night which was over charge has not reverted to my account so far. The Room service was too worst , there was no sleeper , no tooth brush , comb or shampoo in the bath room. however its ranked 5 Star hotel, I called so many time to Room Service & reception for it , Even my self i went to reception & then they gave me the tooth brush & soap. So over all never suggest this hotel to any one.

I became le club member start from mercure. But finnally find out that mercure is becoming a satisfiedless brand. This is not first time from mercure. 1, I arrived after 1pm. But still wait more than 1 hour to enter room. 2, Ask something from reception. But they forgot and remind many times. 3, Door is near to broken. 4, The shop is crazy. And yelling at customers. 5, My points are still not registered.

I'm not a person who is always a little bit too critical to the accommodations and services. But I tend to think that this case is exceptional one. I checked in the hotel (to the privilege room) during night time, put some of my clothes to the dedicated basket, completed the paperwork and put it on the bed before leaving the room in the morning. When I got to the room in the evening I noticed that there had been no housekeeping (room cleaning). The sign (do-not-disturb) remained inside the room. And my clothes for the laundry services remained at the room. I went back straight to the reception and ask a concierge to send someone to collect it. 40 minutes passed but nobody came. I went to the receptionist again and kindly asked again to send someone to the room. After 1.5 hours of waiting I went to the reception desk for the third time and had a talk to the manager instead of the receptionist. In 10 minutes I got my clothes collected. Next day when I returned back to the hotel at the evening I saw the same picture. No house-keeping (room cleaning) and no clothes. I had to contact the manager at the reception to get my clothes back and I had to ask the maid to get my room cleaned. I'm not saying anything that the rooms need repairing to be on level and the standards set in the network.

Generally our experience in Merchre cairo was great. Although I think it is time to do some restoration for the room. The room we staying, the lights was too dim and not enough lighting so it is difficult to unpack our stuff. So keep up the good work to maintain the hotel and not let it run down like an old hotel.

The rooms were run down, things broken. Servicing of the rooms was not consistent - not the same things brought every day. Service was unenthusiastic - staff had little interest in customers, no recognition at all of my Platinum status, no preauthorisation taken to allow restaurant charges.

« The worst experience ever at accorhotels »

The checkin was the longest one ever, more than one hour. I tried to book a room for 3 adults, the system don't allow this, I booked a suite with two communicating rooms and the surprise at the check in they asked me to pay more for the third adult. The suite with the second room can host 4 persons and we were 3 and asked to pay extra!!! I paid, and reached the room it was the big surprise. Many spots in the ground, on the Doors and mirrors, smell very bad. Back to the front office, many thanks to the duty manager ( I shared with him the pics) he was shocked and immediately moved us from this room to two separate rooms. We went to open buffet, The service is really below the standards...two persons taking care of all the service...all drinks have to be paid extra...even the water.... The check out the same, took long time, no request help, we forgot a vest we called asking after it, we never got feedback...
