overall experience was very bad starting from stuff weak support to poor facility in room. i forgot the charger in hotel and it took 20 min in lobby to take it back although i called before coming back

It’s fine for a one night stay to see the pyramids. The rooms need refurbishment and while the breakfast buffet was fine, there weren’t enough staff to clear the tables.

« Horrible hotel! The view doesn’t worth! »

It’s an old, shabby, dirty, smelly and noisy hotel! The breakfast is not good as well. Staff is not helpful, rooms are old (don’t even have sockets for recharging electronic devices - I had to unplug the TV and a bedside light. And the Wi-Fi doesn’t work properly. I booked this hotel thinking about the view of the pyramids, but even in the rooms with frontal view you cannot see much or because of the walls surrounding the property or because of the building itself. Also, if you get a room with a better view (closer to the pyramids) you’ll also get a very very very noisy room, since there’s a busy road passing in front of the hotel. I personally don’t recommend this hotel at all. The locations is close to the pyramids, but for a fraction of their price you can stay in a cozy guesthouse or small hotel in that area. Otherwise, put some more money out and go for a descent hotel - that will end up being much more expensive.

We would love to say thank you for reception and all hotel team as well, they made our stay a fantastic one, we reserve to celebrate with our anniversary, they decorate our room with flowers and candle, the room was big, in the evening the room service bring us a hart shape cake, was a very nice from management, then the dinner was in the Romeo and Juliette Italian restaurant, the food and service was excellent from female manager. the service in the breakfast was very good, they have coffee machine with many options. and they have many sections we like the breakfast Fiteer so much. again thank you mercure.

The reception staff are friendly and very helpful specially Hamed and Mahmoud, our room was in pyramids view, the room is clean, breakfast food is very good many items you can choose of, the service in the breakfast is excellent and the best is Yassin, we had aver nice meal in Italian restaurant, the Shisha corner is a plus thanks to Mohammed shisha boy. the pool is heated we enjoy with every thing, we will come back to this wonderful hotel again.

the hotel has a very good structure however the room was not properly cleaned (curtains, bathroom box, carpet, coffee pot, coffee cups), there was an unbearable smell of cigarette, even being non smoking.

« disappointing »

I travel rather frequently (twice a month on average) and this is the first time I feel to complain. The location was not as advertised; although we booked a view room, we barely could see the Pyramids and the busy (and nosey) road right in front was a headache. The hotel standard was below the advertised five stars, but an OK three star. The hotel taxi/travel agent was basically what is referred to as a tourist trap; when we asked for a simple transport to the Pyramids, instead they took us to an affiliated agent offering us expensive rides to the place, when I asked we wanted to go only by foot they said not possible (which we later on realised was indeed possible). They also asked for tips every now and then. The breakfast was good. The overall feeling of unsafety in Cairo/Giza was sensible, but I understand that's out of hotel's control.

It's shamefull even for a 3 star hotel 1st there was no dental kit or slippers or robes and we didn't had any because the decision to stay was spare if the moment And when we ordered dental kit we were told that we have to wait till the morning because they don't have te key , and when I complained saying that this is non sense . They gave me one saying the 2nd in the morning which didn't happen 2nd there was a huge security issue that the ground floor room with the lock in the balcony door was broken and we didn't notice till the morning after we went out and left our stuff behind ( I have pictures which I will send with complaint to mercure international ) 3rd the room has literally not sound proofed and it's so close to the lobby that any one speaking outside disturb my sleep and we could listen clearly to the room next to ours and they were not speaking loudly

« Don't deserve the hotel to be termed as Mercure/ Accor standard »

It was an utter dissatisfaction. Privilege room with empty minibar. In room there was no iron or iron board after following up for 2 days they came up with one which board stand was broken. Hair dryer gets hitted up so quickly that it stops working wihin 1 min max. Old gym and its amenities No where a single shoe polish place No where there is any healthy food option. Breakfast is only filled with cheese and dessert. Failed to have any fruits or cereals like oats. People rarely understand English or able to communicate. No welcome drink provided. Service was slow. So far we have stayed in diff Accor properties and everywhere we were utterly satisfied but this time we had a doubt whether it's actually one property of mercure or we booked a fake one.

Decent hotel with clean beds. However, the staff was not helpful in providing services, there was always delay in service provision specially to the rooms. Most front desk receptionists seemed to stall and were not helpful unless it involved payment of sort.

Very bad experience in this hotel.Choose somewhere else to stay. Apart from proximity to the pyramids and not too bad a room, the customer service is very poor from time of arrival through to departure. The breakfast too. To be honest, is possible stay elsewhere near the pyramids. This place is not worth it and only make a bad name for the Mercure's global brand. Very disappointing and not worth it to me as accor member.

« Great location, service subpar. »

Most of staff cannot speak English well. Though acceptable in many jobs reception should speak well which they could not. Many reception staff had to ask asssistance if others to help me. I was also made to wait while other customers simply walked up and spoke in Arabic. I also made several requests for assistance where no one ever showed up, including request to pickup my bags on check out.

« Good hotel to visit the Pryamids »

We stayed for 6 nights and this is a good base to visit the Pyramids. Our room was well furnished, clean and comfortable. The service in the bars and upstairs cafe was very good too and there was enough choice of food for breakfast. Some of the reception staff were fine but others could do with a bit more customer service awareness. Overall I would recommend a stay here.

« Overall a good hotel »

We liked our room which was clean, well equipped and comfortable. Minor point - slightly cluttered due to the number of chairs. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choice and the coffee was good. The staff in the bar and roof cafe were really good and friendly. Some of the staff in reception were really helpful, and some of them were patronising and a bit dismissive, especially when my 20 year old daughter who asked for the key cards to be re-calibrated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
