« twas nice and the breakfast was delish »

i only slept there for 1 night but overall it was really nice. especially the breakfast was really festive and the jelly was delish. but i found the hot shower quiet difficult and confusing to use.

« The receptionist manager who was on duty on 18 sep at 19 PM rejected to store my breastmilk due to safety issue. Later I found out that it was a mistake and the F&B team approved the storage. That was such a dissapointment »

I live in Toronto and this is the first time I have stayed at Novotel Surabaya. I am impressed by the green landscape, pool and very nice breakfast area. The receptionist and concierge were very polite and helpful. The room size is great and clean. One improvement area is regarding towels. There were no hand towels and also, some of the towels including the bath mat is torn and looks old. This is just a minor issue which I am sure your housekeeping can take care. I will certainly recommend this hotel to my friends.

Staff poorly trained Room was dirty - bed remade with dirty sheets evident by hair in the bed and skin flakes Shower head broken Poor allowed to degenerate (green) and had to be closed Same food put out in buffet 3 days in a row, not same type food....the exact dish. Mould was on fruit and the same bread and butter pudding for three days running. Under bed was disgusting with dirt

« Less than what I expected from a 4-star hotel. »

I was expecting to experience what a 4-star hotel should have had to offer. I've been staying in many 4 and 5 stars hotel and I know what the standards are. But the room in Novotel is less than 4-stars quality. The toilet bowl is fading (it's not white in color. The bed sheet seems old and itchy when slept on. There were some ballpoint scratches on the wall and that's VERY bothering. and the most ridiculous thing is the the room does NOT offer a fridge; there was a fridge that is LOCKED and we have to call the room service to have that opened and the room service was NOT very friendly when assisting us to open the fridge. It was not a pleasant stay. I'm sorry but you have to improve the service and the facilities before you could rate yourself as 4-star hotel.

I always return with pleasure to this hotel. The rooms are big and very nice. The swimming pool in the garden allows you to relax. A short distance from the noisy streets of Surabaya, this hotel is easily accessible from business districts and various points of interest. Regarding the food, congratulations to the new chef Mr. KELANA, who has significantly improved the quality of meals.Special attention to Mrs. TRIAS for the quality of her service. But we can greet all the staff of this Novotel for its kindness and hospitality. I recommend this hotel, and will definitely stay here again.

Staffs are super friendly and helpful when u see them. Unfortunately, no staff standing by the entrance door to help guest with their luggage. Shower & sink draining system did not work properly. The bed is extremely unsafe. Their mattress base is so tiny which makes the bed really shaky.

« A very nice resort hotel »

It was e very nice staying. We've stayed in the pool terrace room. Everything is nice although we've noticed that here and there this hotel experiences some backwards in services and development. We've found it is a very pity. But we've still loved to stay in this hotel during our holiday.

Check in was smooth and the room is clean and nice. However the check out was really slow, maybe under staff but what happened to the priority table for accor members? Nobody was there and I waited almost 20 minutes for my turn to check out. While waiting, I decide to have my complimentary drinks again I need to wait for as nobody is at the bar. Quite confusing as the voucher stated I can have mocktail drinks but the bartender told me that I could only have juices or "traditional" drinks.
