Rafael was very helpful in our trip to Bogota. Leslie was very nice. We enjoyed our room and the amenities, the jacuzzi, the gym and the restaurant buffet. The hotel is beautiful and staff well-trained, but we were extremely disappointed by the quality or lack thereof of sleep. For a 5 star hotel, it is unconscionable to fail in one of the most important guest requirements. How is it possible that you offer beds with horrible, I mean, horrible mattresses. Our mattres was uneven and extremely uncomfortable. We almost fell out of the bed. It is unexactable. We paid a lot of money and expected top quality sleep. We didnt get it.

At Sofitel, we offer the “MyBed” concept with Multispire mattress which offers impeccable absorption of every movement, and thanks to a higher concentration of springs in places they’re most needed you will get a uniform feeling of support. The slatted bed base with thick layer of high-density foam guarantees an even support and naturally enhances the qualities of the mattress. I can assure you that the Housekeeping manager and the hotel manager already are taking your comment very serious and doing some research about the situation in order to take the proper measures and to provide a superior service. We had the best time, celebrating our one year anniversary. Breakfast every day was fantastic, a lot of choices. The pool and the view of water was amazing, and the location was absolutely perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Cartagena.

The staff was extremely professional and well-dressed; however, we felt that they could have been warmer. And at times, their attentiveness was a bit overwhelming. The room and all of the shared areas were very well kept. Our personal butler, Edson, was excellent; however, in these days of technology, we did not use him often. Great food and drink at the bars and restaurants.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at the Sofitel Santa Clara. Our room was fantastic, with a lovely balcony offering wonderful views of the pool below. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly, and the food at every restaurant was delicious. We'll definitely be back!

Overall we had a great stay - we thought the property was beautiful, loved our room, breakfast was good, pool and service was nice. Only one thing, was the concierge (we tried to schedule dinner 2x and both times small errors occurred. wrong day / wrong place - both were fixable because it wasn't weekend nights and I probably wouldn't mentioned either EXCEPT when we rented a boat for the day - we spoke to her for a long time - then she rented the WRONG BOAT. and they couldn't find the resv and so we were delayed. when we got there they were out of the size boat we wanted. she completely just made a huge mistake. luckily they had a different boat and we had a great day. but an error like that could ruin a trip. it was completely unacceptable and after 3 errors on 3 things (2 dinners and boat) WE refused to use the concierge. at a nice place that is really not okay.

Pleasant. The staff was very nice, and the public spaces in the historic section of the hotel were lovely. Our hotel room in the modern addition overlooking the pool was generic in style - it could have been anywhere- but comfortable except for the small bathroom.

I was already 3 or 4 times before at the Santa Clara. Service is always amazing, as well as the food. The 1621 Restaurant is really close to perfection. The spa is also wonderful. No doubt I will be back to this Sofitel whenever I have to go to Cartagena. Note: When calling from abroad, the Reservation Centre should not keep the customers for so long on hold.

Edson at the concierge desk was extremely helpful, courteous and quick. The hotel property is very clean, rooms are spacious and customer service is top notch. The only feedback is service at 1621 restaurant for dinner was on the slower side.

We stayed at the spa suite and the experience was amazing. The dedicated butler service really helped make our stay smooth. We were able to just text the butler at any time and this was great! We didn’t have to be on the phone!! Also on tours etc, he was able to text us brochures and help plan.

Hotel is very nice. Rooms are good and mattress is great. However, the following items were disappointing and shouldn’t occur in a top rated expensive luxury resort: 1. The restaurant service in the morning took 45 minutes to make a cappuccino correctly. The restaurant wasn’t even busy so we don’t understand why there was this delay. 2. The gym is small and had broken running machines. This is something you get in a 3 star hotel not a 5 star luxury hotel 3. The night cleaning service was erratic in providing drinking water in the bedside table.
