Friendly staff on reception - rooms nice (a lake view would have been fantastic!) - enjoyed a lovely evening meal in the restaurant - experienced the pools too and they were great - overall very enjoyable.

« Left feeling quite gutted! »

Having looked forward to this stay, we left feeling disappointed. The staff were lovely, our room was very nice and the hotel location was great although we missed out on that lake view. We booked into the restaurant for dinner, expecting a top buffet, at $49 each you would, right? Well no, in fact it was extremely poor. The food was bland, and the main dishes were basically a boil-up! The venison stew was just boiled bones, the chicken teriyaki was just boiled chicken pieces in a bland water concoction, instant noodles with abit of vege thrown in, and one very small tray of roast potatoes. O and rice! Does that sound worthy of paying $49 each. Sorry I didn't mention the seafood starters. Dessert was standard but nice. We walked out of there feeling a bit ripped off, wouldn't you? O how we regretted not going to Lonestar right across the road, for $90 we would've eaten like kings. We wont be back!

« Great room etc badly let down by meals in the restaurant »

We were mislead as to the dinner menu which was credited back but it didnt back the fact we had to go to Eat St for dinner. The beakfast was average. I would love to see a decent toaster in place. If we put the meals aside, great room, great service. Really enjoyed the time there after a year away due to poor health Cheers

« A tired hotel but great location »

Disappointing. The rooms are tired. The conference lunches and dinner were of very low quality but room service dinner was outstanding. The room had someone else's hair in the bathroom all week. I would not stay here again by choice.

My stay was satisfactory. The rooms and bathroom are a bit dated. I feel that the room charge of $369 per night is very steep for the condition of the accommodation.

Lovely welcome, fantastic room, quiet and relaxing. Delicious breakfast. Love the late checkout too. Enjoyed the fee drinks and some in the bar too. Very happy!

« Rooms have been sub standard for the price paid »

Staff have been pleasant and courteous however the cleaning standards have been less favourable particularly the outside windows which are supposed to be giving the guest a premium view of the lake which is barely visible through the dirty windows General condition of the rooms are poor curtains, carpets and ceilings need up dating

« Pleasant hotel with lovely accommodation »

Enjoyed our stay. Didn't get to experience all the facilities as it was a working visit. Restaurant was warm and comfortable with good food. Mezz bar very nice too. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The reception appeared understaffed though. One girl, Amy, seemed to be doing everything while we were checking out. She coped well however and was very professional.

« Well appointed Hotel with surperb conference facilities and staff »

I booked a conference with the Hotel. The hotel is well appointed with comfortable rooms and lovely conference facilities. The staff were very good and helpful. A couple of issues with catering occurred with a lack of tea/coffee during break times due to a behind the scenes issue with the hot water. Quality of the lunches was a little poor. Lack of quality and variety. The high tea we had for some of the partners had stale sandwiches. The food served at the evening events was very good however. Feedback from Delegates about the conference at the hotel (accomodation, facilities, staff etc)was generally pretty good but catering was the downfall
