The rooms are basic. Bed linen did not seem very clean. No towels in the room and had to wait over an hour for towels after requested. My room door would not lock. This was not addressed after asking for it to be looked at.

« Theplace is very tired looking and very rundown and given its exceptional location it deserves some attention. »

Restaurant was quite poor. Bad pub food. Some staff really good, others a bit surly. Grubby furniture. Accommodation was shabby. Mismatched taps. Grey sheets. There was a big group in from NSW and I was very embarrassed as a West Australian that they would leave thinking that this was the standard in WA. the motel could be a show piece of the North West.

When I arrived the reception was unmanned. Rang the advised number only to get a message bank. There were quite a few boxes of various type stacked up in the reception area that did make the entry look very untidy. otherwise the stage was quite good.

I was suitably welcomed and directed and informed on arrival. The meals were well laid out and enjoyable. it would help if a sign was placed on the arrival desk as to where the desk person could be found in the event that they are otherwise engaged. Or something like, " Please wait a few moments, I will be back soon.' The room was completely furnished. It was good to have 'no-fuss' wifi.

Obviously aging property. Check in satisfactory although I did have to check that bfst I had added was there. I like the options for early check in and late check out. Didn't like that the restaurant didn't know about bfst being added. Felt a bit embarrassed in front of the other guests when the girl told me it wasn't when looking at my confirmation that said it was. To top off the experience at 9.25am when we were getting ready to leave housekeeping knocked on the door and I yelled 3 times "come back after 10, we are trying to get ready" still opened the door and asked what time they should come back. Really????

Surprised at the room standards, the decor is very dated and looks very dirty. The first room I stayed in the toilet was leaking all over the floor and into the shower. This should have been noticed before I was given the room. The grounds are full of weeds and for a waterfront location it really lets the area down.

Enjoy staying there but the allocation of rooms seems unimportant to those in reception. The company books rooms on a regular basis, either peak season or off season. I believe that because of this ours rooms should be of a better standard such as front of building.
