« Good service. No surprises. »

Great reception. No ramp to bring/take bags from car. Load/unload space not protected from rain. Ad hoc help bringing the bags in. I should have tipped the helpful bartender. Got locked out of the room, while checking out. Saved by helpful maid. Survived it all. No surprises.

« Not more time »

We got best room but no one clean the floor before. We have small baby so we do with my wife. On the launch we got burger which was frozen inside . Pasta tast like army ready to eat meal. But the worst was in the night Our bad was so noisy that you wake up after every move. When I sand up to prepare milk for my daughter I woke up all my family. And one question.

It was very nice. The beach is right in front a wide beach area, with nicely paved walkway, 2 KM long. In the back, 2 streets away, there are several nice restaurant. My room had a sea view. Although there is no gym or pool, I was able to jog in the morning. A nice place to relax.

Hotel needs renovation-old furniture, some lamps in room are not working, there are only plastic glasses and all of them were broken. Breakfast was poor.

The location is good, and the staff is friendly. I appreciate that my room was upgraded to one with sea view, but the sofas on the balcony were quite dirty so I hardly spent any time enjoying the sea view. The elevators are really old and can only carry one or two persons at a time. The breakfast is mediocre and the coffee is made from instant coffee.

Nothing special to report though, something most know, the hotel has not aged well. Even the old missing letters at the top of the front door have not been replaced. In my room the toilet bowl was really dirty

Picked Mercure Hotel due to personal experience with other Mercure properties in other European countries. Beautiful location. Helpful and pleasant staff. Hotel room a bit 'tired' but clean and very comfortable. Wonderful view - well stocked breakfast. Good value for money. Enjoyable stopover (only one night unfortunately).

Excellent welcome on 14/10/2018. Excellent upgrade. Special mention for the barman Vlademar SILVA : very knowledgeable on wines and has a very welcoming manner. Stay cut short late night 14/10/2018 due to storm damage, but, excellent assistance to everybody in the hotel to transfer to the IBIS FIGUEIRA DA FOZ.

Overall good stay. Waiting staff could have been more attentive in restaurant as they were busy looking after groups in main dining area. Bed mattress was very unconfortable and should be replaced immediately.
