« Not what we expected »

First time to Novotel Bali Benoa. We opted for the All Inclusive package for the two adults and purchased the My Kids Package for our boys. As a Silver Le Club member, it was disappointing to wait so long (nearly an hour) to be checked in. Our room (Tropical Terrace 228) was ok but a little dated and not the cleanest. The toilet walls were opaque glass and had never been wiped. Yuck! Rest of the room was ok. The complex itself is small but adequate however the pool was freezing. The food was good but their servings from the carvery were very small and often the hot dishes were empty. The staff were great and very accommodating. Overall fine but won't be our first choice next time.

« One of our favourite hotels marred by having to bath in salty water for 8 days »

All the staff were very kind and considerate. They have wonderful memories and remembered me and other family members from our prior visits. We booked this hotel with a large group of 14 other family members because our previous experiences had been so good. (mainly due to the staff and babysitting club- those women are so good with the kids) However, all 5 rooms had salty water running from the showers and sinks. Our toilet was very slow to flush so I think there might have been a problem with it. And the hotel is really starting to look old. bathroom group and wooden trim inside the rooms looking quite dirty and old. Couch in the tropical terrace rooms, (especially room 229 and 231) were very old and worn. If they were at my home, I would have thrown them out by now. Suggestion, just get some new cushions. can't be that hard!

The resort was lovely and all the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with plenty of options. We would have liked to try the themed buffet but felt the prices were steep when compared to the restaurants nearby. Our family room was most adequate for our family but the bathroom was a little tired. One night we had reported a very strong foul smell from what we think was the toilet or perhaps air cond. Staff came over immediately to check things over. The smell did go away. Overall an enjoyable stay. The quiet pool and happy hour at Coco’s bar we’re favourites.

« If the room was big enough for the 4 of us it would have been great. »

The room that I originally booked for 2 adults and 2 kids was too small for all of us so we had to get another room which wasn't what we planed for when we arrived, but had no choice but to get another room. My two boys are 11 and 13 years old, and there is no way we could have all had a good stay staying in one room.

The hotel website should give the floor plan, as most rooms are across the road from the main hotel. Otherwise the vacation at the hotel was very good ! The staff really make a huge impact with the eager friendly & prompt attention..

I found the whole atmosphere at the Hotel delightful. The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. My Terrace View room was delightful and the surrounding gardens very relaxing. The treatment in the Spa was first class and very professional. The special evening buffet meals were delicious and varied and the after dinner entertainment first class. The Breakfast buffet provided everything a person could want and the staff were very obliging with special requests. The good sized pool and the proximity to the ocean made relaxing very pleasant and the activities were well organised. I signed up for the boxing, pilates, stretching, yoga and zumba and used the well equipped gym several times. The venue of the tennis courts was too hot for comfort for me.
