The staff at the hotel make the experience. Examples- Giving my son a little gift to occupy him, which made him happy. The smile that was always on the faces of the reception staff. I would probably like a more attentive restaurant though if I am being honest.

The rooms could need some new painting. We were three persons in the room, but every day we had to ask for an extra towel even though we had three bed, so it seemed quite obvious that we were three persons there. When we had used the soap bar we also had to ask for a new. The breakfast was very good and the staff was was very helpful.

Brilliant, with the exception of breakfast, which was in a very crowded room. The food however was really good, just not much space to sit at a table and not feel as though you were dining with everyone else.

« The staff was very warm and friendly. Great place to stay with kids! »

The hotel was very accommodating at all level. Our room was ready when we arrived. The restaurant staff was very helpful. They have a small play area for the kids which works well when you are getting information from the front desk or waiting for a taxi. The hotel is also conveniently located close to shops and the metro.

« Would not return anytime soon »

Room was unbearably hot, air-con was not on and too noisy to open the balcony door. Had to ask for a fan but that just circulated hot air - very unpleasant two nights sleep Breakfast room was too small and no where near big enough to house the amount of guests staying. Staff were slow and not very helpful, ran out of cutlery and crockery and burnt my hand on your induction hob cooking my own breakfast egg. After charging such a large cost for breakfast, the service and quality of food needed to be much much better Overall a very disappointing stay once which I will not repeat!

About the heat in your room, indeed we still have activated the air con system. Indeed, with our air con system, we have to chose between winter and summer mode and because of low temperature for a april month our heating system was still activated. We just started the full renovation of the hotel and at the end of the year our air con system will be new. I am really sorry if you have not liked the breakfast room. That is true that when the hotel is completely full (like during your stay), this space is a little bit too small and even if our team make our best to satisfy you, some products can be missing on the buffet. After the whole refurbishment, the area will be completely changed to offer you more comfort. But be sure i just sent your comment to Pierre, our food and beverage manager, to try to find solutions before the refurbishment. Upon checkout we were informed our bill would be charged correctly. However to great disappointment we received an email to state that our debit card had been charged incorrectly. We were charged €876 instead of €8.76. This has had a huge impact on the remainder of our holiday as this refund will take up to 5 days to be returned to our account therefore restricting us to complete a holiday with our children to Disney Paris.

« No French, no stay & Executive slippers »

Unpleasant experience of Novotel Paris Vaugirard Montparnasse! Hotel room is very old, furnitures are broken, bathroom is dirty (not due to cleanup, but too old). Room service (17th Apr, 18.30pm) was extremely rude!, because we don't speak French. Female receptionist told us "impossible" to provide slippers that are for Executives ONLY (We have been staying at Novotel worldwide, e.g. Hamburg, Vienna, Beijing as well Paris Vaugirard last year and always provided slippers). Food of breakfast is very limited, but the personnel in restaurant were friendly, as well as checkout receptionist.

« Very enjoyable made by wonderful staff at the hotel. »

Really quite wonderful. We arrived earlier than checkin but were allowed to store our luggage then given excellent directions to The Eiffel Tower to spend time before returning to be given excellent rooms. Our son was travelling with us and we were given rooms next to each other with adjoining balcony. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had everything we would need for a few days away from home. The breakfast was ample and tasty. I don't really have any critism of the hotel. I have never been to Paris before - but based on my stay, both myself and husband and my son will return and hopefully to this Novotel. The staff were extremely helpful and spoke really good English.
