« Clean hotel with friendly staff but plastic sheets, paper cups, premium priced food thats very basic »

Check in was straight forwards with friendly staff. The rooms just about met the descriptions but plastic bed protector sheets and hot weather dont mix. Kettle provided but with paper cups - in a 4* hotel paying £300+/night would a cup or mug really have been that hard to supply? Evening meal was very basic for a premium price. The half board prepaid option was burger, pasta in tomato sauce or chicken and salad. Two courses with a choice of starter or desert: salad as the starter choice or icecream/ mouse/ rock hard from the deep chill cheese for the desert . Fine for a quick turnaround chain pub but we prepaid for what we anticipated and is advertised by the hotel as gormet french cuisine. Breakfast was quite a good range mainly continental with self cook eggs, self cook toast and sausages/ overcooked bacon (when they didn't run out). It was a very busy breakfast room with not much movement space and staff were frantically trying to keep things stocked but as you tried to get breakfast something was always out - like the coffee machine or no croissants.

Nice and modern hotel, helpful staff, underground parking that brings you right to the reception. About 2km to walk to the Eiffel tower, and you can see it very well from the skybar at lvl 7. Also very close to a Metro station. Room were large, we booked a family deal and got 2 rooms next to each other with a door in between, unfortunatelly it was locked.

Very professional staff. Always nice to stay in his hotel in a great location. This year was not best one due to crashing aircon in middle of heatwave + overall tired infrastructure of the hotel. Will be great as soon as renovated. Thanks again to Novotel team for trying their best to brighten our stay.

Some staff were very professional in their dealing and very helpful especially in the reception. Very quick response on any request in service room. Things that need to be considered, is that air conditioning was very worse and this negative aspects push us to think twice for future. Hope you look at this as the weather will continue and may go more in the coming years. Also food in breakfast need more variety

Hello, Our stay was wonderful, the area was nice and safe with many food options. The only issue was when I made a taxi reservation for our family of 5, a van taxi, the night before checkout. Only to find out there was no record of this the next morning from the woman at front desk who I spoke to by room phone. Fortunately we allowed extra time , and the morning desk agent, he did everything he could and had a van express taxi for us within 20 minutes. (We just didn’t know it was cash only. But we got through that- he did a very nice job for us). Thank you.

I am a big Novotel fan, hence when it came to taking a holiday with Family it was an obvious choice. I was taking my family and parents along. The room was dirty with soiled carpets and it was incredibly warm. when we complained, we were told that the heat wave in Paris was overwhelming. It didn't end there, the Elevators gave way, resulting in my mother to walk all the way down 5 floor. She is a senior citizen and has difficulty walking.

Be sure the whole staff, including Nadège, housekeeper, and Jean Michel, technical manager, do their best to maintain our aged rooms. For your information, we started last month a full refurbishment program for the hotel and all the rooms will be completely refurbishment on next december. The cleanliness of the room is our main priority but the aspect of old room can indeed give you the feeling of a dirty room. I am sorry for that. I am really sorry if the temperature in your room was too warm for you. The outside temperature was very high in Paris and even if we respect the French law with our air conditioning system (Inside temperature at least 5 degrees under the outside temperature) I can understand you would have prefered a colder temperature in your room. Of course, the new rooms will have a much better AC system ! In spite of this bad situation i hope you could slept... Finally, the elevators broke down also because of the heat and it is very not normal you were compelled to go to the 5th floor with the staircase. Our hotel really needs a refurbishment, i am sorry about that and it will be soon completely refurbished. We already have 2 new floors ! Depsite your disappointment i hope you liked our kindness and professionalism. The outside temperature was very high in Paris and even if we respect the French law with our air conditioning system (Inside temperature at least 5 degrees under the outside temperature) I can understand you would have prefered a colder temperature in your room. For your information, we just started the full renovation of the hotel and all rooms will be refurbished in december 2019 and the air conditioning system will be completely changed in these rooms. Because of AC problems, our team was very busy as you say during this week and i apologize if it was long to get your room. The team did the maximum to satisfy our guests, including you, as fast as possible. In spite of these problems i hope your loving stay in Paris was nice. Moreover, thanks for this feedback about paper cups. We make our maximum to respect the environment and before 2020 we wanna only of glass cups. We just need to reorganize the team because offering glass cups need more time. When I went to check in, I was asked to wait. I have never been asked to wait to check in when a lobby is completely empty. I waited probably 5-10 minutes before the same girl that asked me to wait (while she disappeared into a back room) finally checked us in. She gave us our keys. Once we were in the room, I went right back down to inform them that the air conditioning wasn't working. They said they would send a tech. They didn't. I went back down an hour later. They finally sent a tech. The tech didn't fix the problem. We specifically booked the Novotel because it has air conditioning, except it doesn't. Misleading. I went back to the desk to request a fan. She said she would have someone bring it right up. Four hours later, still no fan. I went back and asked for a fan again. Finally at 11:58pm the fan was delivered. Due to the lack of air conditioning, I had to have the window open with the pull out located right under the window. This seems like a huge safety issue. Especially since the mechanism meant to prevent the window from opening a certain amount was broken. Several times over the two days we were at the hotel I asked the staff about local restaurants, metro, etc. And they were unable to provide me with correct or helpful information. Many times I got the "i don't know" answer, which is fine, but they didn't even offer to help. Since I don't speak french, figuring out the closures on the subways was rather difficult. Thankfully google can translate. Breakfast was deplorable and often we were rushed from our seats (plates cleared before we were even done). The hotel was overall good enough to warrant us to come back, but this is due mostly to the location of the hotel and not the hotel or its staff. Housekeeping staff was the highlight (very friendly).

The fact is that this day, many rooms got a problem with the AC and we colleagues made their best to help as fast as possible all guests. About the technician, i has not fixed because according to him, the AC was ok, at the maximum, even if i can understand it was not strong enough for you. Moreover, thanks for your congratulations about the housekeeping department, i just sent to this team your mail and they will be delighted about your comment. Once again we are really sorry for your experience and i just credited you 2000 points (40e) on your loyalty card to apologize. For one month we have been refurbishing all the rooms and in next january, all rooms will be new, with new AC.
