« Didn't feel welcome so I went to another hotel where I was warmly welcome »

I had stayed in ibis budget Porte de Bercy in the past and it was the only Accor hotel where I've had a bad experience. My colleague booked on my behalf this stay (as she usually does, using the credit card of the company). I usually provide my name and I'm given my room, if I happen to have any request or question, it's always solved in 15 minutes. I always feel welcome in Accor hotels. I woke up at 4am to catch my 6am train. I went to a business workshop, I was planning to go to the hotel, eat, rest a bit and work to deliver an important quotation, before going again to a training in the late afternoon. I got to the hotel at 1pm, I was asked to provide the credit card that was used to book the room, I explained it was my company's and that I couldn't show it. I was told I needed to have a photocopy of the credit card AND the ID of the person sent by email. I explained that she wouldn't be coming back before 2pm. I was told to come back at 2pm then. I asked explicitely, does that mean I can't have my room until 2pm? besides I'm not sure she has the card now... I mean, and the holder of the card is the general manager of the company, I can't ask him to just scan and email me his ID... He told me he couldn't give me the room without the card and the ID. I told him I'm a regular customer of ibis, ibis styles and ibis budget and I'm asked my name and that's it. As a regular customer you know where to find me, you know the name of the company I work for, you know that card is used regularly to book my rooms... it's not like I used a stolen card or anything... I didn't feel welcome or understood at all. I felt a wall in front of me, and not willing to listen to anything or to think, just acting, executing what he says were the rules at that particular hotel. I woke up at 4am, I needed to work and rest, and I couldn't do it at this hotel. I got upset and left. I tried to call Accor customer care line, waited for 13 minutes listening to music and then hung up. I called again and I had a nice welcoming voice. I explained the situation, and told her I wanted to change the room and stay at another hotel. She told me to wait so she could check what she could do. She explained to me that my booking couldn't be modified because the price that was paid for the room wasn't the flexible rate. I told her that I could pay the difference between this booking and some other room at some other hotel... that was not in her hands, or so she told me. She told me that she would call back the hotel to find a solution so that I could get my room while I waited for the documents. I explained to her that it was physical, I was upset and neither the staff, nor the place feel welcoming to me, she told me that I had 2 options : either I cancelled, without having a reimbursement (not flexible rate), or I she called the hotel so I can get my room. I didn't want to go back to that place. I still don't want to. I explained to her that the reason I always book for my business trip ibis, ibis styles or ibis budget is because I feel welcome. That's not an ibis to me as the other was not an ibis budget. And the 15 minute guarantee was not applied, as the most basic 'feature" or "request" I had : getting my room, was not satisfied. I also explained to her that I booked personal trips too, in ibis, ibis budget and ibis styles. I had a room in Amsterdam coming up, another at Brussels, and 2 nights at Paris for family trips. I spent a lot to get ibis and the welcome feeling, but none of that mattered to her: non-flexible rate means either you cancel and don' get your money back or you go back to that non-welcoming staff in that place. I was very disappointed that I didn't get to talk to humans. I got machines, I could've spoken to robots, that would've been the same experience. Just executing, and not even thinking or not a little bit of empathy...

« Adequate, but the keys problem was really annoying »

The keys are way too old, for some of the rooms we had to go back to the reception 4 times for them to be reprogrammed. Also one of the elevators was not in service, without being taken out of duty, making an eternal wait, every time the faulty elevator was in the same floor we were trying to get an elevator from.

« Will never book a room at an IBIS hotel again »

Customer service during check in was poor ( receptionist had very poor people skills). I had booked and prepaid 3 rooms on booking.com with breakfast which was not reflected on the reservation the hotel had on their computer. You made me look unprofessional in front of my students to no fault of my own. The rooms we had smelled horribly of cigarette smoke. My colleague requested a change of room because of the smell and was given a room that smelled even worse.

A bit noisy because the hotel locates next to the highway. Even though, I closed the window, still I could listen the noise of the traffic outside. It would be nice if the hotel use double glazing window to protect from noise. However, the room is clean in overall.

Reception manager was too rude, she don't know how to talk to customer.Specially if you are not a French , you are not welcomed at all.There were 2 reception 1 for IBIS style & 1 for IBIS budget, IBIS budget receptionist were polite & ready to help every time( unfortunately I booked in IBIS style)Hotel condition was ok ok, if you are finding other hotel in same price, go there..Don't go to this hotel please.

Rude staff - making fun of English people on the phones in front of me. They hang up every time you call & then deny it even though I have seen them do it to others. Lifts never work. Room cards never work so end up getting stuck in a corridor. Staff couldn’t care less Was given the wrong room & spent all week getting fobbed off falling Inbetween 2 beds and getting no sleep. Staff walked in the room while I was getting dressed No WiFi through out stay Couldn’t wait to leave to be honest Little facilities in the room Not clean, not even a bin & 1 plug socket in the whole room
