If I had just booked a room, I would have been satisfied with the room (not spacious, but city centre hotel rooms usually aren't, and it was adequate), the bed (comfortable), and the bathroom (plenty of hot water). The wifi was slow and not particularly reliable but I've certainly had worse. The desk staff were friendly and helpful. However, I booked breakfast, and that got my day of to a dreadful start. The choice was limited, and effectively further reduced because noodles and congee aren't a breakfast choice for me. When I saw the kitchen worker move the croissants onto the serving line with her bare fingers, I scratched them off the list of possibilities too. But the reason it was an actively unpleasant breakfast, rather than just a poor one, was the other guests. On successive mornings it was full of people who clearly were unfamiliar with the hygienic proprieties of a buffet and equally unfamiliar with the concept of lowering voices to conversational tones rather than yelling across the room, some of whom allowed their children to yell, scream and whine, unchecked, while others tried to entertain their children by propping them in front of films on iPads and phones--at full volume and without headsets. When I choose an Accor hotel, it's usually in large part because I want my home base during my travels to feel, well, like home. Sharing the breakfast hour with large numbers of people whose behaviour would be fully unacceptable by European standards meant that that objective was not achieved. But that is the market you have chosen to target, as indicated that your email soliciting feedback, sent to someone who has only ever interacted with the hotel in English during the booking process, began like this: 您不久前入住 ibis Brisbane (退房日期為 2019-10-07),我們深感榮幸。對於我們而言,有關您入住情況的反應和意見,將非常有價值。 You are not interested in attracting an experienced traveler looking for a European experience, so next time I'll stay elsewhere and leave more room for the offensive clientele you are pursuing.

I felt the price paid for the room was satisfactory. The room was clean and spacious. The shower over the bath not ideal and water pressure not ideal either. But all was acceptable for that price. However on checking in we were offered to pay there and then for carparking and given a pin code for such. she said it would save us the trouble and she could complete it for us. On leaving, I was to learn that we would have paid $20 per night if we had done it ourselves in Tank St. After paying $72 for two nights( ie $36 a night) I felt disappointed with Accor hotel( ie. The Ibis.) In short ripped off to have paid almost twice the price.

The spaciousness of the rooms here are well above the standard Ibis size, and I was given a lovely room on level 12 with river glimpses. My loyalty status was well recognised with a generously late checkout offered. The breakfast was tasty with a good variety, and it was good that we could avail of the Mercure food options as well, particularly with the bar and restaurant closed on Sunday evenings. While some of the decor was a little dated, the queen bed was exceedingly comfortable!

Since booking to the end of our stay each time I had to interact with reception about my booking I had to explain my booking inclusions. Otherwise they wanted to charge me each time which is already included in my booking. This signifies the staffs are not aware of the offers or promotions or they are not well trained to the software they are using. It is frustating for the residents to explain every time what has been booked and what they are advising is not same. Also the booking was made for wrong date. I made the booking over the phone. The parking place is a bit far which caused some inconvenience however I expected that before booking. The breakfast was good and the room was neat and clean and specious. The price is reasonable.

There were no problems. TV worked. There was tea and coffee available in our room when we arrived. The shower had a door and not a curtain which attacks you while showering.

Always enjoy stays with IBIS. Second time at IBIS on Turbot Street BNE. However a bit shocked that parking was $72 for two days. Booking does not indicate this. I could have parked privately at Auchenflower for free. No problems, will stay again. Buffet breakfast was great.

I booked into the ibis paid upfront tang when about plans changed due to a death in the family and they still didn’t have a room available to us when we arrived at 7am even tho we had booked for the night before and notified them of our new arrival. They then send us over to the Mercure next door after I complained. They called it an upgrade but the rooms at the ibis are nicer and far better suited to our needs. The complimentary breakfast at the Mercure was sub par. The room left much to be desired. It has made us think twice about booking with Accor again. Which used to be our go to.

From check in to checkout everything was great. In particular I mentioned that I though I could be a member of Le Club but wasn't sure. The check-in person was able to find my membership number and as a result I received an invite to a weekly reception being held next door at the Mercure for all Le Club guests - this was fortuitous because I then met Peta who had been working with the company I am employed by as a Worldwide Reservations Consultant - Travel 2/DNATA on the content for the Accorhotels Australian properties in our new brochure. I just happened to have a copy in my room back at the Ibis and was able to nip back round and get a copy for her to keep.
