This hotel is in a good location for me with easy access to trains and buses. The reception staff were very good, room was clean and made up each day and the restaurant and bar were very good. There is a wide choice of restaurants and eateries in close proximity and a large shopping centre within walking distance.

My husband and I stayed on the 2nd of March,attending a wedding which was also being held at the Novotel Glen Waverley. Staff at the reception desk and throughout were lovely very attentive and one couldn't ask for better. However on returning home the next day, I realised I had left a pair of sandals behind in the wardrobe of room 612, I emailed that night and called the next morning and the sandals were located later in the day . After discussing the sandals with staff I was told they would be express posted to my postal address, so after paying $20.00 for postage, the sandals still haven't arrived at their destination. I spoke to Staff at the Novotel and was given the tracking no, after checking on the net all it came up with was pending . So calling Australia Post they didn't have said package in the system and were appalled that I had been charged $20.00 for postage, so I called the Novotel again to find out exactly when they were posted and was told last Friday which was the 8th of March now if they were really coming by express post they should have arrived by now . This has been an extreme DISAPPOINTMENT and completely spoiled what was otherwise a very pleasant stay. The $20.00 charge for postage we questioned but as your service until then had been above and beyond we didn't mind,as we were under the impression the sandals would be posted promptly, now after 8 working days and a weekend the parcel, we are still waiting. I'm sure you, yourself would be greatly disappointed in such a situation. I have also asked staff at the Novotel to contact Australia Post.

« Stay was short but good »

Everything was good. The only issue was the shower caddy on the wall was nearly ripped from the wall as I smashed my elbow against it after rinsing my hair. The narrow bath width and the glass wall make it a really inconvenient location to place the shower caddy. For room 329 anyway. I was not really hurt by it, though other guest may be or property damage may result. The location and available facilities are good.

I really need to commend the two staff members on the PM shift on the 9th of March. They were instrumental in keeping my daughter happy and occupied, even pulling a helium balloon from seemingly nowhere when she let go of her original one and it floated up too high to retrieve. Add to that providing a toy when I came back to say thank you for the balloon it was just amazing.

Annoyances and Standouts - Accor member , but no welcome envelope was ready. - Room service food was luke warm (french fries and calamari), but plenty of it. The associated drink was missed and second trip required by staff. - The windows were extremely dirty and many external cobwebs, not a good look. - Ordered a coffee at breakfast and I was handed the table identifier . However, the coffee never came. I mentioned this to the barista and they made me a take-away cup. - Staff were friendly and helpful.

I was in Melbourne for a business trip and fall ill while there, the staff were very helpful and caring in helping me find a GP clinic close to the hotel. When I returned from the doctors clinic, Kavita Pillay (Guest service agent) had brought up a fresh bowel of fruit and bottled water for me with a personalise note saying get well soon. This was absolutely lovely, and just what I needed after feeling so ill.
