Room Cleaning worker did not clean the towels actively. Bed mattress is too soft.Location is good, breakfast is good, welcome drink provided.Car park is chargeable and parked by the staff, not convenient.

The staff are alway fantastic from the cleaners to the front line counter staff, everyone is friendly and can't do enough.. Access is ok b UT as a disabled person who travels a lot, I like to see photos of the accessible rooms, and better information

« Hotel good, parking not so good »

Good room; was clean and well laid out. The bed however had a dip/indentation in it, on one side, leading to a poor nights sleep for the person on that side. Parking was really bad - was told that I could park myself but during the two days we stayed there was never any parks available. When I queried this with the receptionist I was told that the lack of parks was due to staff parling there!!! So is the parking for staff or guests? Surely the (paying) guest should have priority!

« Great staff are a business's biggest asset »

We were made to feel so welcome by everyone from reception to bar/wait staff and even had a cheery 'morning' greeting by housekeeping. Nothing seemed an effort to to them all. Having staff like that makes all the difference and Novotel Tainui should be very proud of this. The hotel itself was well presented and our room very comfortable and clean. The bed was the most comfortable we have slept in!

Great service, great room. My only criticism would be the toilet bowl positioning. We had the suite with the beautiful big bathroom with the dream shower but the toilet bowl was stuck in corner of the room not far off the wall and the spare toilet roll kept getting knocked off its holder. A bit of a tight squeeze for the bigger person. The meals were great as usual, the check in and check out service extremely good. We stayed for 3 nights and were always greeted by desk and valet staff as we passed by, really made to feel welcome.

Not great So disappointed with room service breakfast order I’ve ordered for three people and got 1/2 muffin and other bit some pieces and one slice toast of each what I ordered and there is no bin liner for rubbish bins not enough toiletries and I was stayed in Auckland airport Novotel and I had a wonderful experiance compare to Hamilton I was in this hotel 5 years ago and I had a good experiance but not this time

I chose Novotel as usually they are outstanding, unfortunately I booked a family package and didn’t get what I thought, I wanted a room with two beds and one with a king, this is what I booked but in check in there were none available, the lady at check in to her defense did try her best to accommodate us so we ended up with a roller way bed, I was disappointed because it was a treat for our family to get two rooms where we would all have a beautiful beds to sleep in, as the beds at Novotel are very comfortable. In future I have learnt that I won’t use the website to book but ring, so I know what I will be getting.

Overall as the above states we were satisfied. There were two people on reception but they both seemed distracted to seeing another who wanted directions. Would suggest that one serve that person and the other receptionist serve us. . .

I booked two rooms for new years eve. At checkin I was told they had given one of the rooms to someone else,just great!!! Gave us a lesser quality room and complimentary car parking, no explanation just sorry (just doesn't cut it unfortunately) and to top that off we came back at 11.30pm to have a drink in the bar to celebrate new years, surprise surprise the bars closed. On new years eve for goodness sake. Have stayed here a couple of times previously but will not again nor would I recommend the Novotel to friends or family.

We had a slight mix up at check-in. Was given a king size bed despite being assured that it was a double bed room. Easily resolved when I went down. All forgiven as well as the person was still a trainee. People learn from their mistakes. Rooms were spacious, clean and quiet. Had a great view of the NYE fireworks as well. Nice breakfast. Impressed with the pancake machine and really yummy crossiants. Will definitely be back the next time I travel through Hamolton!
