Not very good. The girl that booked us in was lovely, but later we had cause to complain that our sink was blocked, we were told maintenance would come but no one came. Then we paid to have breakfast the place was full of tourist from coaches we think Romanians. We finally found a seat got our breakfast and everything was cold. Not a bit like last year when we really enjoyed the breakfast. I don’t think we will be returning to Thurrock again.

great customer service plenty of people at reception I was traveling with another engineer we had booked independently and were in separate wings of the hotel the receptionist looked at all options to try and move our rooms together

Please get in touch with me to clarify any parking charges; which you must be referring to a parking fine you received for not registering your car at reception. All our guests may park for free in the hotel. However, our car park is managed by an external company who send penalty fines to those who park but fail to register the car details. We have signs all throughout the car park informing guests of this. If you seek resolution to any problem, we are always happy to assist. If you received a fine; this is something we can get cancelled; if you contact us and inform us of this. However, if you have already paid this; then I am afraid we are unable to assist with the matter. We always encourage guests to contact us id they have any problem. We came to stay at the ibis in Thurrock as the pictures of the hotel looked modern and clean but in reality it wasn’t like this. We ended up put in a room which hadn’t been redecorated and looked like a throwback to the 90’s. My small dog was frightened of the flyover that we was put near so I went downstairs to see if they could change our room. They said that this wasn’t an option as they were fully booked. We then tried to make the best out of a bad situation but the more time we spent in there the more time we noticed more faults e.g. the lock was broken on the main door so anyone could walk in, the chair was broken and the room stunk of smoke. We informed the hotel again and they eventually moved us at 12am. The new room was in the redecorated rooms which was way better but unfortunately the window was broken and was continually able to hear people walk past! Our sleep was very short and disturb. We then went for breakfast late on and all of it was cold except for the hash browns so again that experience was not convenient for us. By this point we just wanted to leave! I have stayed in ibis before and thought that it is a safe brand and also quite good for younger people but the way things were handled right from the start was not great at all. Really disappointed and won’t be staying here again.

The room i was giving u can hear a lot of noise coming from outside i think it was a boiler room or something was making a lot of noise i only wanted to sleep for few hours peacefully End up checking out at 8 won’t be staying with ibis again stuff at reception not that helpful to.
