« The room was nice, the bed was not comfortable »

This trip was the start of a special vacation for us so we booked the privilege suite. When checking in, the staff asked if the room was worth it for just one night. I found this to be extremely rude and inappropriate. He also asked if I wanted wifi to which I replied yes of course - it comes with the room. He charged me extra for it which I didn't realize until I had checked out and we were in a hurry to catch our flight. The room we stayed in 727 had all the comforts of home with the exception of the bed. The mattress is quite old and uncomfortable. We appreciated the fruit that was left for us as well. The breakfast buffet was well stocked, the coffee was delicious, and the staff were fantastic. The flavoured water was excellent.

The Hotel is perfect for business travel. The location is ideal, and it has all the need facilities. Breakfast is very good, and rooms are nice, clean and well equipped for a business traveler, maybe just a little more room for luggage's.

« Very comfortable and pleasant stay for young families! »

Truly appreciate the hospitality of all the staff. When we arrived, our room smelled strongly of sigarettes. I mentioned this to the young receptionist, and she immediately swapped our rooms, understanding that it is difficult to stay in such a room with a baby. There was a babybed in the room, and toys next the breakfast area, our baby enjoyed his stay so much!!

I always find the staff very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and quiet. Despite preferences for a higher floor I got floor 3 again where the rooms smell of cigarette smoke. It's awful. I will no longer include breakfast in my stay. It hasn't changed in this hotel in years and seems poor value for money.

Ok, however, this time there was a very annoying bad situation with changing water temperature in the shower. The temperature changed constantly between hot and cold. The changes always happened suddenly, not slowly. This should not happen at an Mercure hotel and is in fact first time I have this situation in Mercure Seestern Duesseldorf.
