Stayed at this chain many times. This hotel and staff, were very disappointing. Paid extra to check in early. A first. But, I wanted a nap as up traveling all night. She said they ‘upgraded’ my room. They were replacing locks and or door handles and all I could hear was drilling. So I paid a lot of money for a so so upgraded room that was extremely noisy. No nap. I stayed the one night and moved to a different hotel. Person checking me in must have been new?? She struggled with my questions and sought help. I said I was using points towards my stay. That never happened. I doubt I would ever consider this hotel again.

The stay was as to be expected, staff were friendly and the room was clean. The air conditioning seemingly didn't work however, so the room got hot and stuffy easily (had to keep the window open to circulate the air). In addition, the bathroom sink was often slow to drain and for two days wouldn't drain at all without adjusting the cover.

The location was its strongest point. Unfortunately there was construction work right in front of hotel, and all over Paris in general, so my taxi driver was a little bit confused where to drop me & my baggage. My room & bathroom were clean and there was even bathtub to take a bath comfortably. I hope the breakfast menu will have more variety in the future. It was super nice hotel with friendly staffs.

As an Accor member we have a habit of choosing Accor Hotels and this often means Mercure. Hands down this was the worst Mercure stay worldwide. On arrival no English at reception and no acknowledgment of Accor membership. An over hot room. Turn on air conditioning but nothing works. Open window but have to close because of the noise. Ask the next morning and told that it is broken. Offered a fan which should have been there from the start. Springs in a lumpy bed did not help sleep either. Housekeeping did not resupply tea or milk - we had to ask, every day. While the staff were pleasant this was a disappointing stay for us.

Hotel was perfect location for Gare Lyon. Rooms small but acceptable. Thought it was disappointing for a 4 star hotel to provide cheap, plastic cups for drinks. Would not have rated the hotel 4 star myself but for it’s proximity to the station it was exactly what we wanted .

Having to pay 6 euros to store my bags is NOT acceptable when you pay more than 230euros a night. I'm a regular traveler (stay 3-4 nights every 3 months) you probably have too many customers since you expect your customers to pay 6 euros. Even formule 1 and campanile provide this service for free. Sorry for my next trip (December), my colleagues and I will go to a different place there are plenty near Gare de Lyon.
