« Fire Alarm the night before a HUGE dance comp :-( »

Staff- friendly Room- Comfortable Fire alarm- My daughter being up from 2.20 (ish ) AM to 3.15 AM the night before her 1st dance comp DISASTER.................................... 1/4 of the team were tired and did not dance as well as they could have...No trophies this year.

« Friendly staff, great breakfast »

The staff were extrembly friendly and helpful. Sarah checked us in and was lovely. A lovely dark haired young man helped me with the coffee machine at breakfast. The bed was comfortable and the room clean with a nice view. The only negative was that I had to pay ten dollars for wifi, I am an Accor member and thought it was free. Also the shower did flood, the drain seemed to be blocked, however after housekeeping came while we were out it was all fixed again, they must have come for nightly service. The buffet breakfast was great and the foyer and bar area beautiful. Overall a great stay and would stay again.

I was locked out of my room for 3 hours due to the battery going flat with my 4 year old child late at night and had to continually chase it up at reception as no one ever followed it up

Unfortunately had to call to have maintenance to my room twice to fix the tv. However this was done in a timely manner which was good. Fire alarm at 2.30 in the morning resulted in getting next to no sleep.

« It was my first trip to Sydney all by myself and I felt I received lovely service from reception, room service and the cleaners. »

My week was very smooth sailing. The service I received made me feel there was nothing to worry about. I particularly loved that without asking, room service had cleaned my room and gave me clean towels and even remade my bed. It was a very nice surprise when I walked back into my room. The room service when receiving my dinner was very friendly. A nice gentleman even offered to place it on the table for me when he saw I had my hands full. Thank you for a great stay!

« Last minute stay at Sydney Olympic Park »

Booking process was good and we were surprised at the low rate. At check-in we found that the car park was full, however staff made alternative arrangements. Room was clean and everything worked. Bathroom was well appointed. Breakfast was great. While a King size bed, as it was based on 2 singles I would have preferred a queen or even a double as the ridge down the middle was not comfortable. However all around an enjoyable night.

I have stayed here several times, sometimes in the adjacent Novotel for work, but for personal travel, the Ibis is great for me. The location is handy for me, and the price is reasonable. The staff are very friendly.

Check in was quick and easy Rooms are quite small but serviceable Noise was a minimum Parking hideously expensive - I could accept $30 a night but $40 is quite ridiculous

Quick check in, great staff. Hallways always have room service trays outside rooms. Parking is so expensive, could be discounted for Accor plus members. Cheaper wine options at bar would be good too.

WE booked early in the week and got a great deal - incl breakfast. Checked in lat on Sat and the car park was full. Hotel staff took care of this. Room was comfy and breakfast was great.

« The hotel interior looks a bit tired but the staff were friendly and helpful. »

Overall the hotel stay was good. There was a fire alarm that went off at 2.30 am Saturday morning. The was a quick announcement that said the alarm was being investigated which was appreciated. It took only about ten minutes before the next announcement was made that there was no problem. It would have been good, however, to have an update announcement (maybe every 2 to three minutes) in between just to reassure guests that the matter was still being looked into.

« Location was good. Not much else was though. »

Room was quite adequate and in a great location for needing to be in Olympic Park. Check in staff seemed to be confused by everything. We were directed to the car park, then nearly weren’t let in by the intercom person. I tried to prepay my parking at check in, wasn’t allowed. Room was booked as “King bed plus Fold Out” for 2 Adults and 1 child, had to call reception to request the extra bed, they seemed confused by our request. When the fire alarm sounded at 2:20am, it was a pain but that happens. It did seem to take a very long time for staff to give any direction. After 25 mins we were advised there was nothing to worry about. Breakfast was delicious. Lots of variety and very fresh.

My daughter and I stayed for a cheerleading competition. We had two single beds which were extremely comfortable. The location is so convenient, close to all the amenities and parking available for a reasonable rate.
