The Ibis was clean, conveinent to where I needed to be for work, and provided a quick and easy check-in/out process. I did not use any of the facilities onsite, beyond parking. It took several attempts to locate a parking spot inside the garage for an overnight stay. Other than that, it was a great option for an overnight stay for b. in Olympic Park.

The location is the best point about this hotel. The next best thing is the reception/restaurant area. If you go by these two points, you think you're on a winner. But our twin room was disappointing. It is just old and needs updating. We have stayed in far better for the same money, and finding a used cake of soap in the shower (when we hadn't even had a shower) was disgusting.

Pleasant, welcoming, helpful checkin staff, and process was relatively quick. Was able to get a car park under building which was great. Roll away bed that was requested, was on room on arrival. Room was clean and tidy, working tv and remote.

Staff were excellent, great customer service. However the property on the ibis floor was very run down and in need of makeover. The carpet is old and lifting up with water/liquid stains all along the hallway. Lighting fixtures in the hallway/near lift looks like a poorly completed job.

We enjoyed the comfortable bed and pleasant view over Olympic Park. We discovered on arrival that we were "Guest of the Day". This meant a voucher for food and drink, a bottle of wine and a platter of biscuits, cheese and fruit...greatly appreciated! An extra chair in the room would be nice.

Our stay was comfortable, and worked well for a concert in Olympic park. Check in and out was easy and quick. My only complaint would be that the opening and closing of other rooms doors is very loud and woke us often during the night, however I understand this would be very difficult to fix and will not deter us from staying again!

I suffered an unfortunate experience of being woken up at 11 pm by hotel staff due to a clerical error regarding my check-in which led to me submitting a formal complaint via the web portal the following day (ie. after signing in to hotel wifi). I promptly receive a call from Tiffany who was very helpful in explaining and apologising on behalf of the hotel. I was also contacted by the Front Office Manager and generously offered a dinner for myself and my colleague at the Pullman hotel across the road from Ibis as well as use of the executive lounge for the evening. The compensation for my troubles was more than adequate and I was very happy with the efforts of the Ibis team to work toward a prompt resolution. The behaviour of the Ibis staff was exemplary (despite my colleague unfortunately rather poor behaviour, apologies Tiffany!) and I look forward to staying again at the Ibis Olympic Park on my next visit to Sydney.

During my stay, the heating system in my room did not blow out hot air, and so my room was always cold. Housekeeping also moved my Xbox up against a wall, which put pressure on the power cable and could have damaged the plug, doing this also stopped my two controllers from charging. If there had of been a disc in my Xbox, moving it could have also damaged the Internal parts of the xbox. I reported these two concerns to reception and was told it would be reported to the manager, but I heard nothing back so I don't believe it was passed on.

The bathroom floor was always wet there was water leaking onto the floor from either the toilet or the shower. Also needed more towels. Other than that it was fine

The initial person I spoke with when I checked in wasn’t very hospitable. They hardly spoke to me or made me feel welcomed, then when I was asked to sign the form for my stay I questioned why the price was so much higher than what I was actually paying and his response was along the lines of ‘I don’t know, it’s your points or something probably, it will be fine’ and I asked for a further explanation because even with my points (which I knew I was spending) it was still more than what it should have been. He still didn’t have an answer for me and basically just mumbled ‘it will be fine’ multiple times over until I signed the form (I had to be somewhere). Not a pleasant start. I did then speak to another 2 workers to ask questions or request a late check out and they were lovely and provided great customer service. However upon check out I once again received a not very hospitable worker. All she said was ‘okay your total is $...’ and explained that that price was incorrect and roughly double what I was supposed to pay. She then just glared at me without saying a word. I explained that I did question the person when checking in but he didn’t have any answers for me. She still didn’t say anything so I told her I would get the booking confirmation on my phone to be able to provide the details. She still said nothing! Not a simple ‘that would be great thanks’ or ‘sorry for the issue’ ‘I’ll get that sorted’ ‘Thanks for your patience’ nothing at all. I’m a pretty easy going person and have a lot of empathy for workers so I try to be as simple as possible and I am always thanking everyone for the things they do but I wasn’t very happy that I was almost charged DOUBLE and I did not get any explanation or apology or even an acknowledgement basically. I then gave her my phone and she had it for about 5 minutes and still said nothing, I just stood there in awkwardness. In the end I was charged the correct amount so all was good but left feeling pretty unhappy.
