What a fabulous hotel! We stayed at the Sofitel for two nights just a few weeks ago. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the staff is extremely helpful. The location could not have been better, as the hotel is in the city but on a quiet street. We walked to many of the sites in the city, but were not bothered by street noise at night. The concierge gave our party of eight great recommendations for things to do during the day and for places to eat at night, made dinner reservations, purchased museum tickets, and booked cabs. We absolutely loved our experience at the Sofitel!

When we arrived the hotel staff was welcoming and explained our room was ready which we appreciated more than we can express given our overnight flight. The concierge staff was exceptional in their recommendations for restaurants and obtaining museum tickets. Extremely helpful and cordial. We loved our visit to the Sofitel and would seek out this hotel in other cities.

Location was convenient, staff was understanding about language, I wish that you had contacted us about the repairs on the clothing I had left for laundry. mywife did not think they were necessary. On the other hand the staff helped me since I had left clothing behind and the staff said they would mail back to me in the US- quite extraordinary. The Grand Hotel is centrally situated and very convenient. We were able to walk to most of the city attractions. The properties is well kept and elegant. Service was attentive. I had the best cosmopolitan martini in hotel bar and had a memorable experience at the Chief table of Bridges.

The hotel is stunning and as previous student in Amsterdam, I am proud that this monument has been so well looked after. It is an oasis of peace and quiet in an otherwise busy area. The room was excellent and service of staff at front-desk, concierge and housekeeping was impeccable. We had a corporate event, and unfortunately very little food during BBQ and evening buffet.
