Excellent stay and facilities. The food service was very good. The staff superb. The one drawback is the size of a junior suite, it was slightly smaller than what I expected in a junior suite.

We had been planning our wedding for the past year with the absolutely lovely Fleur Naylor. Nothing was ever too much to ask, and the communication from the start was just wonderful. The day itself couldn’t have gone better, the staff were wonderful and the rooms were just beautiful. To top it all off, our stay in the bridal suite was just magical - what a stunning room!! The little extra touches from the staff (champagne and chocolate strawberries in the room) really made us feel special. We couldn’t have had a better experience and we won’t hesitate to recommend The Grand to everyone in the years to come. It was simply magical :)

I had a great stay at the Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam. The room was large and well appointed. The view of the canal from my room was amazing. The service fast professional and friendly at the same time. The meals that I had at the restaurants were amazing. The best part of the stay may have been the friendly service of Wajid (sp?) the bartender. We had great conversations and he introduced me to other guests and friends of his, by the end my stay Wajid felt like a friend. The only negative that I had during my stay is that in 3 days my Nespresso pods were not replenished at all, it would have been nice to enjoy espresso & lungo in my room.

I had an amazing stay; was very impressed by the level of service and the beauty of the building. However, the rooms are a little outdated and could use a refurbishment / upgrade. The food is exceptional and the bars were also great. I didn't check out the spa, but assume it was of a high standard also. I would recommend this hotel, but I would recommend it even more highly if the rooms were modernised and improved.

Experience was bad - upon checking in I realised that the water boiler was rusty inside and that there weee missing amenities in the hotel room. Cleanliness of the hotel room was not up to par as well - toilet floors were stained and while the carpeting (some sections) felt wet and damp, which shouldn’t be the case. For subsequent days, the amenities wasn’t replaced as well.

« A very comfortable stay in the heart of Amsterdam »

The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is very well situated and extremely clean and tidy throughout. I must say that I thought the Bistro was disappointing; the service was somewhat slow and the Club Sandwich I had was very dry and disappointing, especially considering the breakfasts are extremely tasty and plentiful.

I ended up traveling a lone felt safe enjoyed the morning tour of the hotel. Had a light diner in the flying duthcmem the bartender was very entertaining
