The room and bathroom was above my expectations. I loved the bath and the comfortable bed which was huge.. It was one of the best hotels and room that I have stayed in. I will definitely be visiting it again.

Only got to stay two nights there but extremely happy with the staff members there. Especially Alex and Miss Liu at the Club lounge - they treat every guest like their families. I was short on time and they went the extra mile for me to provide all sorts of information for me while I was there. In the morning I was checking out at 5 am, a coffee and bread package has been kindly provided for us by Clare Zhang - (Zhang Zhiwei). I have always enjoyed Sofitel and the quality services and food it provides - Jinan Sofitel brings it up a notch. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

« High-end hotel near springs, convenient services like ticket booking, currency exchange, and concierge, but housekeeping was a little too eager and the deposit expensive. »

I was taken aback by the 6000 RMB deposit ($880) that the front desk knocked down for me to 5000 RMB ($730) for four nights. Most other hotels only charge 100-300 RMB per night. The business desk was helpful in booking a train ticket and the concierge helped me bring up my bags and held them for me while I went to Taishan. I was a bit hurt that the revolving restaurant tried to turn me away at 1:50 when the book in my room told me they open until 2:30. I put the sign on my door that I didn't want housekeeping. Later, the housekeeping service called me to ask if they "can clean my room now". I get that they were trying to help, but the call was disturbing me when I didn't want to be disturbed. Overall, nice place, but too high-class for my comfort and too expensive. The picture of the mountain/lake view room online is also misleading. I had mostly a city view with the lake further out in the background. It's mountain OR lake not mountain AND lake, like I thought I was going to have.

Your hotel is really good, good value, very nice room and great breakfast. The gym needs an upgrade. Take out the old dirty carpet and put in rubberised floors. Add some mats for stretching and put in a rowing machine. These are the easy ones. It would be good for new equipment but for cost this is not as important.

I stayed 3 times within two months around 35 days. From Biman Bangladesh Airlines almost 10 persons stayed Sofitel. All services except food was excellent. Staffs are well behaved and they are always friendly & smiling to the customer. I should mention the names of the staffs, Ms. Jenney, Alex Si and Meria Xiong and they must get the special thanks from our team. Due to cultural and religion purpose the food in the breakfast was not suitable for us. As this is five star hotel, management of Sofitel should look into it.
