« The room was hot otherwise great, wonderful staff. »

Mum and I enjoyed our stay overall. I enjoyed interacting with friendly and professional staff, the gym and pool, the room, and in general it was really good. The only problem was for the first two nights it was very hot in the room. Staff provided a fan and opened the window for us, but it was still hot, the bed covers are heavy, and we found it very difficult to sleep - indeed, on the second night it was almost impossible. On the third night, I don't know what happened, but a very chilly wind came in from the window, then it was easier to sleep. I don't know how you can fix this in light of the regulations about turning off the ac with the season. I do know that for an elderly woman like my mother, she would not choose to stay with you in future under similar circumstances. Thank you for your efforts, and I must say the staff at your hotel, friendly, smiling, attentive, genuinely concerned, that makes all the difference.

Novotel Shanghai Atlantis Hotel 6-10 November 2019 I arrived early evening, and reception was professional and efficient. As an AccorHotels member they upgraded my room - well appreciated as a frequent traveler. The head concierge checked me in, and he explained everything I needed, and was better than most check ins. The room, 4419, is spacious and pleasant, with a good firm bed, and nice sheets. The decor is okay, though a little dated. My room has lovely views of the CBD area, especially the spectacular Shanghai night-lights at night. The bathroom is compact, but with a large lovely shower, and a small vanity sink. The amenities are standard Novotel and met my needs. The towels are lovely, good quality and size. Wifi works well, and is complimentary with my room. Sadly, VPN doesn’t work which limits communication out of China, google and WhatsApp couldn’t work. The TV is of a good size, with several international foreign language channels. Breakfast was as per normal Novotel, with a range of hot and cold dishes, and a good noodle soup bar. The staff are very helpful and do their best to please, with a nice smile. Ying Liang, at breakfast, was very helpful and pleasant, and did a great job. The location is not bad, though it’s in the Pudong side of the river, but only a short taxi ride to nearby shopping areas and the financial centre. It’s not too far from the famous Bund area by the subway or taxi. The concierge was very good and helpful. The head concierge, Kobe, processed my check in, and he spoke english perfectly. He’s highly knowledgeable and he’s an excellent concierge. I enjoyed access to the executive floor lounge, and the staff there were generally very nice. They were helpful and generous with their service, and well up to the mark. A special thank you to both Ms Hebe and Ms Amber for outstanding service and personality. The only negative experience was the Accor booking App. In short -it’s hopeless! I had to try several times to book this hotel, and almost booked another hotel as the App kept failing. They really need to fix their App experience. Overall, a lovely 4 to 5 star experience, in a better than average Novotel, especially when compared to other countries’ Novotel hotels, and even some Sofitel hotels. Well dome to the hotel’s management for providing such great staff. Thank you.

« First stay and great stay! »

It was my 1st stay in this Novotel and I had a great room with great views! Hotel upgrade me to a corner Premier Room #4214 and it gave me 2 views daily. Lovely views day and night. Hotel staff overall can speak English and all very friendly/helpful especially to mention is Chief Concierge Mr Kobe and his team. Kobe and his guy helped us to call and reconfirm our HZ day tour pickup time etc. He also took extra attention to ensure I am ok with my pillow request. The only little setback about this hotel is its location as the walk to train station Pudong Ave is a little far esp for old folks.

We are warm welcome by the front counter during check in. Hotel is very good. Hotel staff is very friendly. Is pleasure stay. Check our process also fast. Location is close to city. About 6-7km to, But need to take taxi. Hotel is far from metro station. About 600m walk to metro station. We visit shanghai world expo, only few station from metro..hotel is just in between world expo and shanghai city center.

Not up to par. Hotel is rather old, got a room with practically no windows (the window was 1m wide). Bad location with no shops around.

« Welcoming hotel offering everything one can expect from a premium class hotel »

A very modern and definitely recommendable high-rise hotel where one feels really welcome. It offers spacious rooms, comfortable beds, good restaurants and cleanliness everywhere. The staff speaks English well (this is not always obvious in China) and is friendly, attentive and helpful. The view from most rooms over the river and the surroundings is stunning.

when I checked out, I have been waiting a long queue for issuing VAT invoice. I asked the front desk that I only need an invoice for print out, he said he cannot print anything at that moment. I was kept waiting for more than 20 minutes and I left my room card with the front desk to catch the hotel car to city centre.

I'm always glad that I can rely on a contant and high quality of Accor Hotels - especially, if I'm the 1rst time in a new city, but don't like exeriments with hotels I don't know. The room was clean as usual, the stuff was supportive as usual, the breakfast was appropiate as usual, the mattress had the familiar and appreciated degree of hardness, the locoation was central enough, the check-in and check-out was efficient ...what shall I say? :-)

A little bit far away from City Center ; PUDONG is far away from Nanjing Lu. Very expensive to pay half a day for an extend of 6hours till 6 PM for a good client like me for accor hotel company. Hope so you can provide you more rewards to balance it. Regards . Thanks for feed back.
