Location to Swanston Street and Bourke St Mall could hardly be better. Staff were polite, helpful and very professional. Room(s) were clean and housekeeping was prompt and efficient. Variety at buffet breakfast was largely English style with few options for Continental or Asian styles. Some noise from other rooms and corridor (at 3.30 a.m.).

Great location in the city centre, convenient for local sights. Hotel was clean & tidy despite ongoing works. Breakfast was good value compared to local cafes. I would describe this as a budget hotel, rooms are small but adequate as a base for exploring the city and beyond. Staff were friendly and helpful

My wife and I enjoyed our 6 night stay. The bed was comfortable and the room was well cleaned each day. The breakfast was substantial with excellent service. The front desk staff were professional and extremely helpful even lending us an umbrella for a rainy evening.

Despite it being bussy on arrival, I was ashered to the side quicly by a desk on the side and checked in. Check in was seamless. Proceeded to room, room was very hot. Turned on AirCon. The AC took most of the night to cool the room down. It would have been good if the room had been prepaired for a visitor. Attempted to conect to internet as I has work to complete. It would not log me on as it stated I was not valid for internet. Rang reception to quiry why my membership did not cover internet. The call was terminated. This happend twice. Got dressed and proceeded to reception. It was bussy but did not deserve to be hung up on. Reception advised I should have been given a code on arrival for internet. Paid extra for king bed. Bed was extremly hard. As the king was two smaller beds put together I kept slipping in between the beds during sleep. On check out was told my invoice would be emailed to me. I am still waiting on it.

We had a great value stay with $1 breakfast in top location Refurbishments however quiet Down side. No mention on our booking that car park had changed. Had to move and pay hotel paid at least however a hassle.

On arrival I enquired about some property I lost on a previous visit, the lady at the check in desk was apologetic that no one had rung me back when I tried to track them down, and very helpful and even upgraded me to a much nicer room than I had last time (922) Unfortunately, the king size bed in the room I was moved to (940) was so hard it was uncomfortable to sleep on. Room service was really lovely, however they accidentally forgot one of my dishes, they promptly went and got it straight away. Staff were great all around. Thank you.

Because possibly I was upgraded to a larger bed that may have put me in a different room, for most of the time I was to hear cleaning staff utilising their closets or rooms to put equipment or rubbish in, all I know is all I could hear for the most of it was slamming doors. The service given was great, although for my meal I wasn't completely happy with the fish, desert was nice. The concierge staff and the people involved with taking care of my car were great.

This is our favourite hotel in Melbourne. The location is perfect, the staff very friendly and welcoming. it’s always good to see refurbishment and we are usually happy to see changes and improvements, However we were disappointed with the new bar and dining area Evie’s. The previous lounge/bar area was perfect for meeting with family and friends and felt homely. The new layout, furniture and fittings are not comfortable and cosy but rather have a corporate and pretentious feel. It’s lots it’s family and group appeal and would be more suited for the solo traveller. The restaurant area seems very small and as it opens into the bar area noise will be a problem. What a shame we’ve lost this space.

First time at this hotel, lack of a car park is a pain, having to carry luggage through the streets. The room was ok, the 2 huge stains in the carpet a worry, l made the staff aware of this, housekeeping were supposed to check it out, but l got a call saying they knew about them not to worry, and was sent a bottle if wine for my trouble. Not ideal start to a weekend away.

Love the location as always. Rooms are quite well-appointed particularly for the price point, however reception staff seemed downtrodden or had a lot on their mind. No smiles, and responses were a bit lackluster. Check in/ out process was quick though.

Staff for check in and check out where extremely helpful, check in & out was fast and easy, the room was clean and comfortable, house keeping was friendly and helpful. The only thing that let the entire stay down was the buffet breakfast
