We had about an hour sleep as no one told us about the road works and noise which kept us up most of the night, the bed also when ever you moved as it never had a lock on it moved as well so we felt like we were on a cruise ship.

Hi I always stay there as I’m cabin crew, unfortunately the room I had, 401 the exhaust fan was so loud I couldn’t sleep. I usually have a very good stay but that side of the hotel was terrible and I’m wondering if it’s Because I paid industry rates that I got a second rate from room.

« My Mistake - made worse by Ibis staff? »

I was mistaken, and went to Ibis Budget (not realising this was different to what I had booked?)... At IBIS BUDGET: arriving 7pm, the line to check in was long, and took more than 20 mins - I showed the girl my phone booking, and was told I had not paid (I said I had prepaid - then manager told me that wasn't possible?) - I paid again, and was checked in to Room 416. In that room, I checked my credit card, and had paid - so went back down - THEN I realised I was checked in at the WRONG Ibis?? THEY didn't. I left there and had to walk to Ibis Sydney Airport - ONCE there - it was great! As an Accor Member, I will NEVER book an Ibis again, so I won't be confused. Be Clear, this was initially MY error, THEN Compounded by the staff error, when they made me pay AGAIN? The girl did NOT read my booking carefully enough? Once I was at the Ibis Sydney - where I had paid already - everything was GREAT - that's why I've put a 5/10.

Website stated $12 parking and was told at reception that it was $25. I mentioned the website and the staff member then told me she only charged me $12. She then explained that the invoice would be sent to my email address and I didn't check this until I returned home. I then saw that they had charged me $25 for parking. There was no mention on the booking page of a $25 parking fee. Well done IBIS, lost another customer. I think this should go on a few review sites.

Satisfactory, we were comfortable and had a great breakfast the next morning. Hotel was a bit noisy but its what you might expect in busy airport precinct.

« A Great Overnight Stay Near the Airport »

A wonderful place to spend the night when enroute. The rooms, though cozy, were clean and comfortable. And, oh, those beds - so, so 'sweet'. Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice, and staff were helpful and efficient. I'd recommend this hotel and gladly stay again.

« Ok for what I payed »

Pleasant reception staff quickly arranged our room keys. On arrival to the 4th floor a strong smell of smoke was obvious in the hallway. On putting our luggage into the room I went back down to the receptionist and reported it. A staff member said he would investigate the smell. I went back up to the 4th floor and checked were the strong smell was coming from and found it was strongest in the rear fire escape. I again went back to reception to report my find were I was told someone had been lighting paper inside and dropping it down the fire escape. I returned to my room had a shower and went to bed, waking though the night to road works that carried on all night. I assume that the cheaper room I had was the reason we were on the noisy side.

Very close to Airport (walking distance to Domestic Terminal). The rooms are very small but sufficient. Staff are very polite and efficient. Very handy hotel for early next morning flight or late evening arrival. Breakfast is not wonderful and could have a few more choices but is sufficient.

Check-in was a little bit slow as it was busy and the man assisting us was still training. Room had to be checked to see if it was ready for us (although was 9:30 pm).
