« Top location, room very old and used, price acceptable! »

The rooms themselves in the mainbuilding are very very used. Not really Novotel standard anymore.Even though the staff is friendly and tries the best. Due to the very good location and the moderate price, but still an acceptable choice for me. The Club Lounge on the 19th floor is still not a highlight comparing to other Accor Hotels, like Grand Mercure or other Novotels, BUT the staff is trying hard taking care of the guests, their wishes and giving the best hospitality ;-). Espeacially "Alicia" is doeing a very good performancae and job!

Easy introduction for our Chine tour. Plenty of helpful and friendly staff. Associated restaurant gave plenty of food options and comfortable and accessible bar. Room clean and comfortable. Shower head could be improved - our only slight disappointment.

Except location nothing is good about this hotel , all the rooms are old and the entire place needs renovation , it is not living up to the standard of accor group and not justifying the price I gave , I could have got better property in the vicinity , until you renovate the property , I would never like to come back , breakfast is below standard , rooms have no iron , no wifi music completely dissatisfied.

Also, Our Executive Chef has already looked at the quality of Breakfast. Some necessary trainings will be conducted to improve guest satisfaction. I am sorry for the inconvenience caused. I booked a family suite and I didn't imagine it was part of the premier lounge. Wonderful service and attention from the personnel. Alicia and Echo were always available to answer our question and help us every day. Turist service at the front desk helped a lot as well. Definitly wonderful stay.

« Not being able to access the hotel due to closing of the surrounding streets is unnacceptable »

The service at the hotel was ok, but the overall experience was ruined by the closing of the surronding areas by the Chinese Army due to a military parade. The hotel administration knew about the parade and its implications for access well in advance (they informed about similar problems the year before). Simply suggesting guests "to be back at the hotel by Saturday afternoon and not leaving the premisses on Sunday" is absolutely out of the question for a touristic type hotel (not a destination or business hotel). The hotel should have informed about this before I made reservations, and I would have chosen somewhere else to stay. I felt entirely fooled for booking Novotel Peace Beijing ahead of the Chinese National Day. Only to make matters worse, the hotel has never informed its guests about its backstreet entrance as a valuable option to be used by its guests. For that lack of honesty and care I felt extremely dissatisfied with Novotel Peace Beijing and would advise other travellers to avoid it altogether, especially in September.
