« Very satisfied with our stay, great staff, great food, great experience! »

We just stayed one night, we are very satisfied with everything from the receptionist, the room and the food. Will definitely recommend the hotel. Just few minutes walk from the gare and the lake, great location. The only thing that i was not satified with, when they did not issue a receipt during check-out. At Ibis Geneve Centre Nations, i was not issued a receipt but they sent it to me by e-mail. If you could please send it to me by e-mail, i would appreciate it.

Modern hotel, clean, big room, very comfortable, USB outlet beside the bed, ugly view of abandoned apt building was a minor issue. Ordered room service coffee and orange juice only, they brought entire breakfast (which didn't look appetizing), proceeded to argue with me saying it's impossible that I ordered only coffee and orange juice on the breakfast door hanger card, resolution after 2 phone calls was to charge me 22.50 for coffee and orange juice, which is not cool. Location of this hotel wasn't great on a holiday weekend because the bus didn't run on a normal schedule to nearby stops. Will stay closer to train station if I'm ever in Geneva again. Staff lady at the check in desk was remarkably fast, the check in champion of my vacation.

Good experience .. Location is excellent .. nearby restaurants & supermarkets .. few minutes walk from the lake .. great & helpful staff. Three main important things to highlight to make the stay better: 1) parking is only from small cars, big family cars (mini fans) can’t access the parking. 2) bathroom design is not suitable, i.e. shower & sink are separate from the chair which is located in a separate bathroom ! First time to see ... & is not convenient. 3) Breakfast is very limited ... no variety of food .. even omelet is charged.

« Overall OK experience in terms of good location for price, but disappointed in poor maintenance of room. »

Excellent reception and staff. However, the room was run-down and needed maintenance - for example, when we tried to run the bath, the tap was leaking all over the bathroom floor, so no bath was possible. The shower stall had visible signs of black mildew in caulking and needed proper cleaning. Same comment of the sink. The shower door handle was loose and felt like it was going to fall off. Also, shower gel in shower stall was empty. When we first arrived, there was also a large wet spot on the carpet by the window, which we had to avoid walking on with bare feet. Beds, sheets and towels were clean, but the bathroom needed maintenance and overall room did not feel as fresh and clean as I had experienced in previous Novotel hotels.

« Dont waste your time making booking arrangements through online services they change everything at checkin »

By the time I got with my family (wife+3kids) over 3PM the room wasn't ready and I stayed more than 20 minutes waiting for the checkin process and when we got the room (I booked 2 to fit all my people) they weren't the ones that we were suppose to get but the bill was charged as we got the ones I picked, as I was frustrated and tired I did even bother to make any complaints. Shame on you!

Check in was good the rest not. We had a room with no hot water for 3 days dispute informing the staff everyday. We eventually we given another room for our last day. The pillows were basic cushions and the first bed room 624 was uncomfortable and small the sofa bed which we tried was extremely uncomfortable too dispute complaining nothing was done. When we were finally moved the bed was fine. However the pillows are not good.

This hotel will nickel and dime you. For most hotel early check-in is a courtesy on a room availability basis. However, the staff stated that we have rooms but you will have to pay additional fee that amount to half-day stay (even for one or two hours). Given 12 hours of flights to reach this place for a next day early meeting, and our employer would not go for steep added expense, this is hugely inconvenient. I wonder we should have book other brands who offer early check in without asking for half-day equivalent fee for a couple hour early. In addition, the room assigned was small and old; could use updating. The fiberglass tub showed cracking lines; the towels are thin and at the end of their useful life.

The “early check-in” is an official option and the price for it is mentioned on the screen behind the reception desk. We’ve got the same principle for the “late check-out” (after 12:00) – it’s not complimentary neither like in majority of hotels all over the world. If the client doesn’t want to take these options, we always propose him to keep his bags in a storage. You can also use all public areas of our hotel (including fitness and SPA) during the waiting time. Extremely disappointed having stopped with this chain over the world. We had an important meeting to attend which was missed as was unable to take either a shower or a bath for our party. Told an engineer would attend to the problem on 2 occasions which never happened. When I complained AGAIN on the 2nd day (which was not planned). Was told it was too many people were using the hot water. Explained I had to book another night and staff were completely disinterested. I didn't have the patience to complain on our leaving day as I was up so early to take a HOT shower @ 05:00 in the morning.. I am not expecting a response from my issues so will publicly make it known on all other review trips.
