The staff was very kind (their points would be 10), but.... ...after 20:00 o'clock there was no warm water in my room (all 3 nights). The first night, arriving from the airport after a long day, i wished having a warm bath (at cca. 22:00). It was very unpleasent showering in cold water. (I was to tired to go to reception.) The second afternoon (at cca. 18:00) there was warm water, but after visiting Leuven, I could only shower in cold water agian. The third night was the same.... The breakfeast could be a bit various: for example more vegetable, some different way prepared fried eggs. Every morning the same - 1 type - fried egg, the same bean, mushroom, sasuge, salami. The morning drinks were various enough. I think, the hotel is equipped to business travellers. The location is good, but the room was noisy because of traffic. I am a good sleeper, so for me it wasn't a problem, but who sleeps not so good, can be annoying. My room was very big, but very rigid. The wifi was fast enough. Other problem was the room card. I should have to go back two different days to the reception, because it did not work. Once full with luggages, the other time hurrying for pee, it was irritating.

My stay was pleasant and relaxing. The room was very comfortable and quiet, at the same time very clean. I'd like the option to preserve resources and I opted out of having cleaned my room everyday. It was a unique experience to taste local beer and the food was very delicious, especially the tanned chicken. I wish I had more English speaking tv stations but I understand I am in a foreign country. I big thank you to the hotel stuff. They were really professionals. Liked the hotel facilities and location. Disappointed by two specific interactions with staff: a) At the bar on Sept 16 - bartender informed me that the hotel policy prohibits the bar staff from allowing customers to sample a wine before ordering it. Mentioned that this policy was put in place because 'Chinese and Japanese' customers don't order after sampling the wine. I am Indian. I suppose my ethinicity was not included in this list of bad customers because it would have been awkward to say it to my face? b) I requested a taxi for drop off to the Brussels airport at 4.15am on the 19th. The taxi turned out to not run a meter. The driver asked me for the amount that the hotel staff who booked the taxi had agreed with me on (he had not and I would not have expected him to). Disappointing to see the hotel subjecting a guest to an unscrupulous taxi company.

Regarding the taxi company we will check with the team what happened because they are only allowed to work with known taxi companies in Leuven and they all have a meter. Regarding the wine, all our wines that we serve by the glass can be sampled. Wines sold by the bottle however are not available to sample. This would mean we have to open a bottle let our guests sample and if they don't want it we have to throw it away. They only purpose we let our guests taste the wine is to see if there is no courck taste in it and not to taste if they like it or not. Well, often we reply to surveys when things are not doing well rather than telling when it is great. This fits a little bit my case too. 1. Remote control of television did not work for turning off the television, but was immediately replaced once i did make a reclamation 2. Requesting an iron: This is a difficult task in this hotel and i think there should be a different way. House keeping starts at 7:30am, so you need to wait until this time to make your call. Second, you need to call the reception for doing your request. The reception is quite busy in the morning for doing the check-out, in my case i called them and did my request, waited 20mins and called again, then 5min later house-keeping delivered the iron, she mentioned that the receptionist just called her a minute ago. So, this is not the first time it happened to me in this hotel and i am loosing time in the morning and get frustrated each time. To improve, maybe having direct line to housekeeping or easy access to iron or put in my profile i need an iron the first day of arrival and have it delivered already in my room ...... 3. Bar and restaurant as well as breakfast services is always perfect, very nice people who are serving and having small talks (for example Bar: Dominiquo and Breakfast: Lisa) kind regards, G.B.

« Great place for a business stay »

It's a good place, conveniently located, easy access by car and not too far from the train station. Good breakfast. and good atmosphere. Most people are very friendly. It's clean and comfortable. The only thing I do not like about this hotel is the parking. I have not used it for a quite sometime because it is very inconvenient, particularly trying to get out with the button to have the gate open in the middle of the ramp. Every time I need to rent a car I stay in another hotel for this reason.

I really liked the room. Nice and comfortable. Enough space. Everything was nice and clean, including bathroom.
