Haven't been there for over 1.5 years, so the remodeling of reception/lobby and bar area was a nice upgrade. As all my previous experiences at this location, stay was good. Will surely return.

An overall good experience. Only thing that stopped me from rating 10/10 Is that the parking was limited. The room didn't have tea or coffee facilities and the breakfast was expensive for what it was.

We stayed four nights in ibis Aalst hotel. We were very satisfied except an insident. One night about 05:00 o'clock in the morning somebody came inside our room while we were sleeping. We reported the situation in reception and they said that they already know and this happens because of a mistake. But he confronted us like it was our fault. Also he said take a free coffee with a little bit rudeness. Just a warming smile and an apology is enough. We will choose again idis hotels because we believe this was an exception manner of behaviour.

The place was decent , quiet and clean. but in room facility was very poor. no tea service , no fridge these today in most hotels of this standard and higher have these facilities.

« Generally good, but some minor niggles. »

Pros: Nice room, comfortable beds. Very stylish breakfast/bar area! Tasty breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff at reception. Convenient location close to motorway. Cons: No mains power sockets next to the beds. Soap dispenser next to washbasin and shower gel dispenser in shower were full, but refills had been incorrectly installed in the dispenser (I fixed this). Main disappointment: car parking charges! We were charged 9 Euros to park our car for one night, despite the fact that the Accor Hotels website states that car parking is free at this hotel.

The room was very cold and stinky. The heater's climate was not heated, but it blew out of lukewarm air. Everywhere the room was smothered by a dog sitter.

Very bad experience! I stayed at your hotel a year before and was very satisfied,but this year a lot of things had changed.Bad service,too cold,tiny room for a couple compered with the single room in which i stayed last year,which had much more space. The quality of food was too bad. Even the name of the hotel confused us, 'Ibis Aalts centrum' thinking it was in the center of the city but not,it was something to 10 min far from center.To conclude,I will not book at your hotel again!

« I remembered why I don't like to stay at this hotel »

I had many things to complain about that negatively affected my comfort during my stay at the hotel. I was in a corner room (320), small and dark - a light was broken and couldn't be replaced! I was given a lamp which helped somewhat, but still very dark. I wanted to have a sit down after travelling, the cushion on the sofa was missing.. the whole seat cushion! (and couldn't be replaced), I asked to be moved but there were no other free rooms. The soap dispenser in the shower was also broken. I had 3 hangers in the wardrobe... all were broken in some way so I couldn't hang many clothes (that's annoying). Breakfast was average - but there wasn't much of it after all the early risers (I ate at 7am!) ate everything and it wasn't replenished very quickly. Your only saving grace is the staff are very nice, the dining area and lounge has been redecorated and I was very hopeful that the rooms were also redone to a higher standard, it's a shame they're not.
