Excellent check in and check out. Room clean and tidy. Breakfast tasty and hot. Hot plates were a big bonus for keeping meal warm. Disappointed that the bathroom ceiling leaked all over me through the light switch. Scary (electricity + water!) and a big shock at 7am. Receptionist very efficient in finding me a different room and very safety conscious, but it did spoil my experience. I had planned a lay in and instead had to pack and move rooms!

« All in all, everything was fine. »

We felt the care and friendliness of the staff overruled anything that we found to be below par. The lift was out of order on our arrival and we were offered an Assistance Room which we found a bit lacking. The water from the washbasin only ran cold and the shower was weak. The door between our room and next door seemed to allow noise through. We coul hear the lady talking on her phone, also the TV playing. But the beds were comfortable and we both slept well. The breakfasts were tasty.

« Warm welcoming staff, listened to my needs (I am newly disabled) and provided; excellent value for money. »

This is the 5/6th time we stayed here. We return because it’s clean, comfortable, everything you need for a short stay. On a previous occasion there was an incident with inconsiderate guests whose behaviour was more than unacceptable and threatening. The night staff never hesitated and responded straight away, dealt with the offending parties and moved us to another room. The next day the team were again exemplary in their actions which culminated in the banning of the couple from ever staying in this chain of hotels ever again. This shows that the expertise and experience in this hotel extends beyond providing clean sheets and cutlery, there is a depth to their quality of service and a level of professionalism that you would expect of a high end hotel. Thank you Ibis Barlborough you are a great team

Very good experience. Clean room, nice bathroom, comfortable bed, tea and coffee facilities provided, a must for me! Friendly staff. Good breakfast selection. We were impressed that hot foods were exactly that and not lukewarm as we've experienced in other hotels.

Have stayed here at least twice a year for past 7 years. Hotel is beginning to look a bit tired in places, tho' appreciate there has been some reordering. Cleanliness in bathroom could be better . Hiinges on toilet seat were mucky, cleaned them myself. Grouting in shower also could do with more regular cleaning. in the breakfast area the staff need to clear tables quicker. and attend to serving utensils and plates on hot plate. Surfaces could b e wiped more often

The room was fairly large but very basic and the bed was comfortable but I had to search the room for a decent pillow which was in a cupboard. Bathroom was good size but basic. It would be nice if they put a picture or two on the walls of the bedroom. My problem was with the restaurant. I ordered fish pie at 8pm but it didn’t appear until 9.10pm. They offered various excuses but I could have made a fish pie for a whole family in that time! Furthermore the peas and green beans were frozen ones - over cooked! I did complain and the complaint was well handled and I received a total refund which was appreciated. Nevertheless, I was the only customer in the restaurant after 8.45 so it was a depressing experience. I hope someone has addressed the issue properly as it should not have happened at all.

From checking in to leaving staff were very helpful. Rooms are basic but have all you need. Clean, warm, and a good nights sleep. Good pressure from shower. Breakfast was lovely from continental to hot food. Reasonably priced hotel we would stay again.
