All staff and house keeping always make us feel welcome and so friendly, if it wasn't for the staff we would probably consider other Hotels. As I have stated on numerous occasions the Hotel is badly needing a refurbishment and small jobs are not dealt with.

My wife and I have stayed a number of times at the Ibis Chesterfield to visit friends. The staff are friendly and welcomimg. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breskfasts are good. The central location is good.

The room would of been fine had the cleaners done there job properly the window seal was mouldy the underneath the beds weren’t Even hoovered and I know I spilt my drink they didn’t even change the bed sheets

Room was clean and tidy. There is no air conditioning which could be an issue in summer as there is quite a lot of traffic noise with the window open. Water pressure could have been a little better but it was comfortable and acceptable for the price we paid. Would probably stay again

Booking (including adding an additional night) was painless and staff informal but polite and welcoming. Room was comfortable. Great to have on-site parking, though car park was pretty full. Good to have a roomy (though basic) lounge/bar to sit in in evening

The shower had no water pressure at all and to get pressure the hot had to be full on so was unable to stand under the shower, the noise in the hallway was so loud that was unable to sleep, with people going from room to room shouting

Overall the stay was great. The location was really convenient and there was everything we need in the room. our check in was functional, but after that the staff were friendly. There was road noise, but we got used to it.

« A budget stay »

We stayed at the Chesterfield Ibis for a week visiting family . We have stayed here a few times before as it is convenient for us to see relatives . It is ok, there is a particular member of staff who really isn’t welcoming at all . She actually was in the middle of reception when we were just going out and actually looked us in the eye, but not a ‘hello’ or good evening from her at all. I think she is an experienced member because one evening we heard her explaining to a colleague how to fill something in. The other members of staff were lovely and greeted us whenever we came back or went out. They were really welcoming . We had a problem with a leaking tap (I did report it) but after a week it still leaked water on the bathroom floor resulting in wet slippers! It wasn’t repaired whilst we were there .(room 227) We also had a problem with a booking that had been cancelled, it was still showing in the future, when in fact we had cancelled it and rebooked for the week we stayed. The week we did stay has never been shown on our account! . The not so welcoming receptionist , greeted us on our arrival and found the booking I presume, as she didn’t query it with us. She just said, oh it’s all paid so I don’t know where she found it. We also noticed our reward points had been erased as it said we hadn’t booked within the year, in fact we had booked and stayed before the expiration ! (26th April to 4th May). We mentioned this and the young man reported it to the manager who did in fact come out to see us, and said somebody would get back to us . We are home now and haven’t heard anything . We do prefer to stay here, but it’s the little things that we’ve mentioned that makes us consider whether to stay here again in the future . Thank you John (Walter) K.

The staff were friendly & helpful. The accomodation could do with updating. Outdoor replace towels as I had to enquire if they were mats. After one shower the entire bathroom floor got wet, not happy standing barefooted on it.Smelt mouldy.

« Not the best experience. »

Hotel is very difficult to get to on foot due to it being located between 2 very busy dual carriageways and a roundabout. Traffic noise in our room was horrendous, the windows are inadequate and do not close fully. We got very little sleep due to the noise of traffic which was relentless and continued all throughout the night.
