« Worst Accor hotel I have ever stayed in »

Very poor .Didn't get an answer to my query sent on booking form and then subsequent email direct to hotel. Room (123) smelt like a hospital room, powerfully antiseptic so obviously had been subject to major clean following some sort of incident. Noisy delivery early morning .Breakfast quality very poor particularly the hot section. Were they really scrambled eggs ? Charmless staff. Generally a very bad example of the Accor offering.

We had a comfortable stay at the Ibis Chesterfield, the only thing I would suggest is that you inform guests that tea & coffee (lattes) are available throughout your stay as we didn't know until the day we were leaving also the TV wasn't working in our room and the maintenance team were given the wrong g room number so our TV wasn't fixed until we left. Most of the reception staff were very friendly apart from Jordan who wasn't very polite when we were leaving, the maintenance man apologised about our TV but Jordan sighed when I asked for a receipt and didn't even say " thanks for staying" or anything when we left.

Hi there are mixed feelings here.Bad points are there is a lot of wear and tear in the rooms and i'm sure some guests get away with smoking in their rooms.Good points,there was a mix up with our rooms and the gentleman on duty (wish I had his name) was great in resolving the situation to the best he could do so I could not ask more from the staff.Breakfast ok and 12 oclock checkout great.

rooms getting tired, shower just a trickle, hot room, noisey with window open due to dual carrigeway, breakfast been out too long, so mostly dried up even at 7.45am. been in much better budget hotels for half the price.

Apart from rain water running from the ceiling onto the bed and being moved to another room, everything was fine. Well, until my morning shower and this didn't have the necessary water pressure to rinse and then breakfast, where the cutlery was dirty!

Staff very helpful, however they were very busy at breakfast so the tables were not cleared for quite a while. Shame about the stains on the sofa in our room as it made us start looking around the room and it could have done with a really good clean.

Room 108. TV didnt work, reported to reception nothing done. Room was tired and shabby. Stagnant smell from bathroom. Stayed here in march 2017 and it was a much nicer hotel back then. Didnt bother with breakfast because of the general cleanliness around the hotel. Significant improvement needed before we consider ibis again.

« A bit noisy »

We stayed here so we could have easy access to the station to go on a steam train tour. First problem: finding a parking space! Got the last one! Second problem - slowest lift so we mainly used the stairs as we were only on the first floor. Second problem: room really hot, so we had to keep the fan on all night and the window open, so it was really noisy. Thought the ring-road would be quiet in the night but it isn't! Some of the room fittings were looking tired and we had an odd meeting room chair. Apart from that, the staff were great, the bar area/lounge were really nice and the breakfast was very good.

Nice clean rooms, hotel was clean. Central location. Fan was broke, asked for it to be replaced and staff member stuck it back together with blutack. Fan blades promptly fell off again.

Very cheap hotel in the centre of town. Pleasant staff, basic rooms. Bit noisy, no air con so windows have to be open and the road noise is considerable.
