« Nice but the plumbing needs fixing »

My stay was nice but the hallway to the room had a drain smell and when I was in the bathroom you could smell the horrid odour from the plug hole. Also when I flushed the toilet it made a loud screeching rumble so I wouldn't flush it if it was late at night. Apart from the above I had a lovely stay.

« Noisy because of rattling pipes through the night and an argument in the corridor »

The room was clean but felt very bare no decor. The pipes made noises twice in the night waking us and the security person had a loud argument with someone in the corridor Plus the shower suddenly turned red hot on me and scolded.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and a credit to your Hotel, on that point I would book again. However, though the room I stayed in was clean and servicable, it was in need of a refresh. A sink hot tap that made loud noises, with no water, till it was turned half way on. Open sink plughole, needing some paint, fresh new tiles in the bathroom, whilst older shower stall, again clean, but in need of a refresh. May I also suggest, decaf coffee sachets, and perhaps a mint tea in the rooms would be appreciated.

Room 301 On arrival pleasant girl on reception. Room was cold as wall heater had not be switched on in anticipation of our arrival. As weather was cold and miserable it would have been appropriate to check room before our arrival. Room very plain with no excitement. Hand basin needs tap overhaul as neither hot or cold had any pressure. Hot took ages to arrive and was then scalding. Mixer tap was pathetic as it hardly mixed at all. Shower is also needs overhaul as it needs superhuman strength to operate flow. Resulting in very poor regulation with scalding hot water. Bathroom became so steamed up that mirrors unable to be used for about 30 minutes. Towels are very sub standard being extremely thin and quite small and no separate hand or hair towel. However even for £65 it should have been actually working.

This Ibis is a little tired compared with some others we have stayed in, but this is more than made up for by it's location on the A46 just outside Lincoln, the good spread of options for breakfast, and the helpful staff. The rooms need the normal Ibis makeover, in terms of carpets, and my brother found his shower controls stiff...but the hotel was in the right place for our needs, the breakfast kept us going all day, and we got a comfortable night's sleep...we were happy and will use again.

Room 209 was extremely cold and draughty from the windows. The shower dripped water constantly. The water in the sink took forever to empty and I could not get hot water from the sink tap. Bed very comfy. Tea and coffee making facilities and supplie were ample for one person. Room 210 was very warm in comparison. The tea and coffee facilities were not sufficient for 2 people. Staff were all very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was more than sufficient with plenty of choice.
