Rude staff who failed to advise the new car park procedure. Omitted to give welcome drink voucher and refused to serve my guest a welcome drink saying that the drink was for car holder. The sink was blocked and the shower had very little power and the toilet flushed intermittent.

We have stayed at this Ibis many times over the years and feel that the hotel is now looking tired and could do with a makeover . The net curtains in our ground floor room were screwed up, looking as though the had been through the spinner. The carpet was very thin and damp, presumably washed not long before we arrived, bathroom floor tiles cracked. Time for a makeover and new net curtains!

Always a good experience at this IBIS. Rooms are good size, staff welcoming. If I could say anything negative it would be about the breakfast. I did not like the sausages. They were not as good as other IBIS we have stayed at. But apart from that all went really well and we will be back again.

I have already sent a complaint to customer services, though this hasn't been acknowledged. The overall cleanliness of the room was poor. There was an odour coming from the sink in the bathroom every time I ran the water. I removed the plug and could see why. Probably years of "gunk" I showed the photos to reception who offered to move me but it was our last night so I couldn't be bothered to pack up the room at this stage. I was also offered a drink which I declined. So efforts were made to put it right. Emma also asked me to e mail the pic so she could raise it with housekeeping. The staff were all very welcoming and warm it was just the facilities that weren't great.

Reception very friendly and easy to deal with. Great that the bar was open until midnight. Breakfast was really good, with great choices and the fact you could get both poached eggs and gluten free bread was a real plus. My only real issues were that the bathroom looked a little tired and only having one coffee machine- which people were using to fill up their lunch flasks from, meant you had to wait a long time to get a coffee... Otherwise excellent.
