Extremely friendly and helpful staff at reception, breakfast and housekeeping. Unusual reception set up but worked well.The hotel does food but nearby theirs a McDonald's and a pleasant pub, so a good choice for everyone.

Check-in was the usual welcoming experience. It was nice to be remembered as a returning guest. Rooms are clean, a good size and a comfortable bed. My only issue, as always, is with the quality of the towels provided. I always ask for extra towels as the two in the bathroom are totally inadequate for anyone over the size of a hobbit. Apart from that it's all good. Nice to see proper mugs for the tea and coffee, and the staff are happy to provide extra tea and milk.

« Faced with additional hidden costs upon arrival we cancelled room »

We expressed a wish to cancel (note we did not stay at the hotel on the evening of 7th July) and receive a refund, but your employee (Alex) said he was not authorised to refund. I now request that my money is now returned to the card account it was taken from. We were not advised that there was additional costs for our dogs and were asked for a further £20.00. We understood that this was included in the original booking. Since our contract was subsequently varied by your employee, and was not agreed, no contract existed and therefore, we are entitled to a refund of the original fees

I have verified your booking and it's a non modifiable, non refundable rate which states in the terms e conditions that you had to accept at the time of the booking. "Guarantee Policy Full amount of stay is payable in advance by credit card at booking time. The credit card used for booking must be presented at reception upon the client's arrival. Cancellation Policy The amount due is not refundable even if the booking is cancelled or modified." Also you booked thru our website and it has always stated that pets are allowed but payable. Below copy paste of our website Services information were it states that: "Services and practical information Online check-in ONLINE CHECK-IN DETAILS WIFI/Internet Access WIFI/INTERNET ACCESS DETAILS Parking PARKING DETAILS Accessibility for people with reduced mobility ACCESSIBILITY FOR PEOPLE WITH REDUCED MOBILITY DETAILS Pets allowed 10.00 GBP 100% non-smoking hotel Reception open 24 hours a day Early check-in/Late check-out EARLY CHECK-IN/LATE CHECK-OUT DETAILS Shoe shine machine" So I'm sorry to inform you that my team member followed all the correct procedures and no refund will be made. I will as a gesture of goodwill credit 2000 points on your le club card which is equivalent to 40 Euros for you to use on a future booking at any Accor Hotel in the world. « Not the best hotel i have stayed in »

When arriving i was told i had to pay for my dogs to stay x £10 each this wasn't stated anywhere when booking the room so wasn't happy the manager told me i had to pay or i couldn't stay and wouldn't offer me a refund, this wasn't a good start to my stay, i paid the fee and asked for head office contact details, i went to the room which unfortunately smelled bad, the carpet was dirty needed a good shampoo, there was dust on top of the furniture so hadn't been cleaned very well, wasn't happy that there wasn't a bath as i really needed to relax my aches and pains just a shower with small towels which weren't very clean i noticed dirt marks on them but used as i was in the shower by now, the beds mattress was hard and not very comfortable and only 2 tea bags in the room had to go and ask for more, didn't think reception was very good without a desk seemed weird i was waiting out there for someone to come out really needed a bell at least. i did email customer services for the hotel online but unfortunately no one has replied to my email. won't be staying at this group of hotels ever again.

We arrived on Friday 5th July at 9.19pm the woman that booked us in was very vague, she never enquired if we were having breakfast with yourselves, she also never gave us any information regarding the restaurant or the breakfast times. It seamed that she just wanted to get us booked in and get shot of us asap.

I was allocated room 211, got back from work, had a shower and was greeted with the most horrendous noise in my room. Got the porter up to listen, he said it was the kitchen extractors and they would go off at 9.30pm. I was shattered from an early start so was in bed by 8.30, by then the noise had stopped. ZZZZZ ensued but 9.15pm evacuation of hotel due to fire alarm. got dressed, went downstairs only to be told to go back to bed as it was set off by a sensitive smoke detector, shower steam. tossed and turned after that but eventually got to sleep. 5.15 am exactly same horrendous noise from the night before, rang night porter and he came for a listen, told me it couldn't be the kitchen as I wasn't connected to it. Had no explanation either. Stayed up, had breakfast then left. Points offered as compensation, shall stick with another major chain in future who at least offer a good nights sleep guarantee. I cannot recommend this hotel. Rooms dated, bathroom desperately needs a revamp.

Accommodation was very good,the breakfast wasn't that good owing to the very cold plates for the English breakfast, the breakfast seemed as if it had been in the warm pots awhile, so not impressed with the breakfast.

« Good sleep shame about the breakfast »

The room was clean and tidy but some aspects of the hotel were in need of attention e.g. seals around fire doors, fire doors left open. The breakfast was poor value for money, bacon not cooked properly, no fruit available on second morning. The staff were friendly and courteous but have had a better visit in other hotels of this price range.

Stay at ibis Wellingborough when I’m working in the area, have been there for the last 5 weeks, This week had a room on ground floor, very noisy with people opening doors all night and fire alarm went off late one night
