« Pleasant stay, though a little disconcerting to see the hotel boarded up. »

The entrance to hotel is not very inviting. At first I couldn't locate the front entrance of the hotel, but the staff was friendly. They offered tips on how to get around the city, good places to go, etc. The room was comfortable although the bathroom and bath linen could use a refresh.

« Enough for my needs »

On one side there were some problems due to the front hall being destroyed. But not related to that, the room had a lack of maintenance/care that is continuous, for I was complaining about that the last year, and it has not improved. i.e.: The lid of the HVAC was open (on the room entrance roof, in front of the bathroom door), The flush in the toilet was not strong enough to wash away the dirt, so I had to use the trash box as a pail to wash it down. In the breakfast the sour cream was bad, as if it was out of date or stored improperly. Small details that spoil the whole experience.

« Good location - Bad hotel »

The location is great, near to main important places, bad sadly the hotel is bad, the worse service, people are rude and doesn’t care about your needs, in the other hand the room was dirty, specially the bathroom. I didn’t have a good experience at all.

Rooms are small Can provide more basic amenities like more towels, better toiletries (including moisturizer), water. Charging 2$ for bottled water (and not offering tap water) felt unncecessary

Same standard room like in all Ibis but location is better than the other Ibis except on the weekend, there was an event at the Congress Square.

« Weird room »

I must tell you first that I did not arrive in the best state: I had just traveled 36 hours and, by MY mistake, ended up at 12:45 am at the other IBIS in Bs. As., the one that I usually stay at and thought I was staying at this time as well! My mistake, but still it added to my exhaustion and lack of patience when I had to take another taxi and go to this Ibis. At 1 am I had to wait for about 7 minutes to check in, and that also added to my frustration! But really, the complaint is about the room I was given, #1404. First, it was a little isolated, behind a closed door that led to just two rooms, and it gave me the jitters at 1:10 am. Second, the bed was very strange, with just a thin mattress on top of a high frame. Just strange, not the usually comfortable bed that I'm used to getting at the other Ibis!

« Bitter Disappointment »

I had Ibus recommended to me by a friend and signed up for an Accors membership. What a terrible disappointment this stay was. It started badly. The front desk had three people working and were ignored until I finally handed a paper copy of our confirmation to one of the workers - who was doing absolutely nothing, but told me I should speak to the women at the next counter who had sat there ignoring us and plainly able to see the paper in my hand. We got to a tiny claustrophobic room after a trip on a dirty elevator. The room was woefully small and ill equipped.We were given towels that I would only use to wash a car or perhaps the floor. They were disgusting. After our first night we went sightseeing the next day and returned at 5:00 pm to find our room had not been cleaned. The location was fantastic, but I'm not sure the hotel gets credit for this as it did not come close to making up for the poor quality of the stay.

« Profoundly disappointing experience »

I was profoundly disappointed in my stay at this hotel. This isn’t just a budget hotel, but a cheap hotel. We were given towels of a quality I would use to wash a car or perhaps a floor- just disgusting. After our first night we went out in the morning and returned after 5 pm to find our room had not yet been cleaned. Workers at the front desk struggled to speak English- and while obviously their first language is Spanish, how can you expect to be a tourist destination and not speak the world language for business? The room was tiny and as cheaply furnished as possible. Save your money.

I had to move to three different rooms because of a loud water noise inside them due to the AC pipes inside the walls. The staff wasn't friendly during this process and the situation was quite stressful until it was solved.

Good clean hotel, excellent view from bedroom over Congresso. Bedroom was comfortable with good sized bathroom, had air con & enough seating for the time we spent in it. Good choice for continental breakfast.

« maybe my last stay »

I've stayed in this property about 6 times in the last 10 years. This last stay was rather frustrating: the premises are in a bad shape (shower floods the bathroom, toilet seat is worn down, overall poor room conservation) and room service has been brought to a minimum (dirty floors and counters.) Some employees at the reception desk were doing very long shifts, several days in a row, which makes me wonder about staff working conditions.

« dirty and in a bad neighborhood »

The room was with a good smell when I arrived, but then I noticed that the room was dirty and the bathroom was really terrible, the tiles were extremely dirty with black mold. The reception service is ok, but they can improve it a lot, they could be friendly as the people responsible for the restaurant/breakfast. The neighborhood is not the best, but I think if you can add some ligths the homeless could be out of the front of the hotel.
