« OK. »

I enjoy the accommodation because the size of the room, desk, workspace. This makes working away from my office very easy. The sofa, bed and bathroom make it relaxing. Breakfast service and quality is excellent and praise for Simione who makes it welcoming. The only gripe I have is dinner in the restaurant. There are one or two dishes which are very nice, but several that I would avoid as it is poorly produced. That and very loud music always tempts me to elsewhere for dinner, or book a different hotel.

Staff were very friendly on arrival, The whole hotel seems dated we were disappointed with the room as it seemed to lack anything modern apart from the TV.

« A warm and friendly hotel »

Immediate welcome on arrival by the reception team as well as passing members of the bar staff. The friendly approach was continued throughout the hotel in the restaurant both in the evening and in the morning at breakfast.

Not really value for money... and nowhere near the standards of other hotels in Milton Keynes. Rooms were noisy, evening meal average, breakfast poor. Room also suffered from a damp/drains smell.

Check in ok , bedroom good except for a separate toilet without hand washing facilities. Biggest issue is quality and cleanliness in the breakfast restaurant. Quality of food not good and cutlery not clean this has been the case on several visits and need attention staff also not great in restaurant

A comfortable and clean although fairly basic room, good food, nice swimming pool, and very friendly and helpful staff. Decor is subjective - bedrooms not to my personal taste, but will tick the box for many others. Shower gels minimal but adequate for most, same with teas/coffees/milk. I am sure they will provide more on request. Beds comfortable. The main thing for me is that is cleanliness was very good, and the staff were friendly as well as helpful.

Staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was a nice size and beds were comfortable. We enjoyed a swim in the pool. We didn’t have breakfast so unable to comment on that. The lounge and bar area was very good but we didn’t stay for a drink as the music playing wasn’t to our taste.

« A friendly and welcoming place to stay with some great facilities »

firstly, staff were very helpful in amending my booking this time around so that was excellent. I have an executive room as I really like having a fridge and the extra benefits. My only negative is that the bed is so hard. The Nespresso machine also seems to dislike the decaff pods and chews them up whereas its fine with the normal ones. Breakfast was excellent and I had vegetarian sausages and poached eggs made to order. I used the pool but early morning as it was busy all evening. Good option though and great that it is open from 6am. I stay regularly in MK hotels each month. Booked again next month.

Having requested a room with an accessible bathroom I was pleased with the walk-in shower and toilet in one room, however this does not mean this is a completely disability- friendly room. The door to the room is very heavy, the door to the bathroom is a clunky, noisy and heavy folding door and the door to the shower goes only half-way where a full folding or sliding door which keeps water in, would have been better. A heavy ironing board stored on the wall, equipped with a heavy iron tethered to it , that needs to be lifted down and moved to access a power point was not what I would expect. Having weak arms and legs means these were not easy to manipulate. The shower head was left at the top of the pole so would be difficult to reach for intimate washing for some people and the foldl down seat was very stiff. Whilst the lighting in the bathroom is great, in the room one light did not work and the others did not provide enough light for reading so not good for someone who may not see too well. The bath mats were merely thick pieces of towel and did not provide a secure base to stand on and had to be used to mop up the water that escaped from the shower partition. On the plus side the keycard worked first time every time, which is rare in this hotel, but it looked new. The other thing that bothered me was access to this room was up a small flight of stairs, access could be made via the lift near it which goes up a bit and opens out onto the area at the top, but I wonder why a ramp is not provided , presumably there is one elsewhere in case of emergencies when the lift cannot be used but if it exists then it is a way from the room I had. So whilst I appreciated the shower, I feel this room in particular could have been so much better adapted, because as it is, only the more able can use it safely on their own, a helper /companion would be needed for those less physically able and this may not be realised until after someone arrives at the hotel.

Did not like bathroom fittings. Loo very low and too high rim of bath made it inaccessible. Not disabled but a knee operation caused a problem. Would make me consider finding another hotel which would be a pity.
