Staff were excellent throughout, from moment of checking in to when i checked out - and at every interaction in between. Facilities were top class and everything seemed to be properly catered for. The bar/restaurant was more than adequate and well provided for. Whilst the hotel was excellent, my only reservation was its location - its a long way from the centre of things in MK especially if you don't have a car

One night stay. Plenty of parking. Had checked in on-line but check-in was delayed due to just one member of staff on the desk. Asked if I had been allocated a quiet room. The answer was 'yes'. However, the room opposite mine was occupied by an exuberant family so there was some corridor noise. Would be good if business guests could be allocated rooms away from families on vacation. Room was spacious though the en-suite somewhat dated. Housekeeping ensured all was spotless. Breakfast was an OK buffet.

Check in was straight forward, room could do with a freshen up as was a little tired looking. The leisure facilities were very good, particularly the swimming pool, however we were not asked to complete any kind of questionnaire prior to using the facilities. The bar area was pleasant and it was an added bonus having the children’s section with the digital interactive table.

The room itself was fine. However I don't know what it is about the staff in this particular Novotel but the ones we encountered were very poor. I fedback on our poor experience at the bar last year, there was no evidence that additional training had been provided. Surly service, no wine glasses, no water glasses and the bar was not busy. Breakfast was poor too.

As always the hotel, cleanliness and facilities are excellent however this visit I have to say I was extremely disappointed with the breakfast. The sausages were not cooked through and getting a mouthful of raw sausage meat is not a pleasant experience at 8am!! Then trying the bacon it was very salty which completely put me off eating so pretty much a waste of £15!! Was very surprised as previous breakfasts here have been fantastic so please dont let this review put you off staying here.
