Our stay was very pleasant and our large comfortable bedroom was a lovely surprise . We had two dinners at the hotel and both were very good. The waiting staff were a little slow but maybe that's because one was in training. however all staff were very pleasant and helpful a special thank you to the Waiter/Barman who noticed we were cold and adjusted the heating in the Restaurant.

Room was comfortable and reasonably well-appointed. Common areas in hotel are a little tired looking. Staff on reception were efficient. Restaurant was a bit disappointing for dinner - expensive, food and service both could have been better.

At check in I was told my credit card was needed for the accommodation charges. I pointed out that the accommodation charges had been prepaid. I provided the confirmation number and went to my luggage and returned with the itinerary from the travel agent that showed the confirmation number I had provided. The duty manager came out and confirmed that a credit card number [not mine] was held for charge back of the accommodation charges but a voucher had not been received. My card was only needed for any incidental expenses. When I went to settle my account, I was again asked to pay for two nights’ accommodation. I explained the situation. The duty manager came, spent some time on the computer and then confirmed that I did not have to pay the accommodation charges. No apology was offered at any time.

Hotel facilities and environment doesn’t feel like a star hotel. Carpets looked old. Room is ok but bathroom is quite small. Entry area looks congested. I would prefer to go to a different hotel.

Nice food selection but food was over cooked Bedding was nice but pillows were tough Good front of house customer service and friendly and helpful staff. Nice if you had some fresh air ventilation in the rooms, you have a balcony but people can’t enjoy the view

Great hotel. Loved the lift down to Lampton Quay. The mattress must go! I had to sleep upside down and crossways; it had such a hollowed out spot.
