Good location with hotel dropping down to Lambton key. Very friendly front of house staff who assisted us with booking changes and parking. No street noise despite the central city location and the welcome biscuits were delicious.

« A very well located hotel with fabulous staf »

The staff were excellent in this hotel in all areas. The room was recently renovated and had all that we required. While the main areas look a little tired, we were very happy with our overall stay. The restaurant was also very good, though they struggled at times during busy breakfast times. Location to all the Wellington attractions is idea.

Enjoyed our overnight stay at The Novotel. Both young staff members on reception (Mitchell and Meneitia) went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. Nothing was to much trouble for them, they were both welcoming, friendly, willing to help and kept us informed of any delays at all times. We really couldn't ask for more from your staff members. Restaurant staff were also welcoming and friendly, willing to chat freely and well groomed. Room was clean, comfortable and the bed great. Thank you so much to your staff. It's lovely to see young people so accommodating. Would love to come back.

I was disappointed had ordered room service which never arrived when I rang 70 minutes later got a very brief apology. Food eventually arrived 20 minutes later.

The wellington Novotel is very well located close to Lambton Quay shops, the waterfront, transport, parliament and tourist spots such as the cable car and the botanic gardens. The hotel is clean and well run. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are good and offer plenty of variety. The restaurant could be better located as being on the ground floor it only offers lower level views of surrounding builders. Some higher floors offer glimpses of the harbour and views of the city. I did notice stains on some of the chair upholstery in my room. This does detract from an otherwise very clean room.

Rooms were good, however dining is not satisfactory. During breakfast on 2 days had to ask staff to provide clean and non chipped plates. Bowls were dirty too.
