The hotel is perched high on Wellington's hill but has a lift that takes you down to street level right in the CBD. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Last time I was there I left my iPhone earphones and thought I had lost them. Contacted me that housekeeping found them and they arranged for them to be mailed back to me in Australia. Gym is well equipped although small. Breakfast buffet is good. Could do with some more tea bags and milk portions in room but first world problem and could probably get more if I called.

This time I drove to Wellington from Hamilton, getting to the Novotel was really easy. I had my car valet parked which was great. Really easy check in and very clean rooms with very comfortable beds. I also found the staff in the bar / restaurant really friendly.

Great stay - requested early check in which had been arranged but they seemed to not be able to arrange this?? Had to wait and come back while they faffed around which again, didn't need to happen as it was all arranged. Dinner was average and overpriced but breakfast was as usual good.

We had tried to allocate you to a higher floor with a view befitting your Accor Plus status and were hoping to have you in a better allocation during your stay. Once this was shown not to be possible, my staff changed your booking to a lower floor to try and accommodate your early check-in request. However, I do see that were able to get you into the room just before noon and am glad that we could accommodate an earlier than normal check-in. Thank you for your comments regarding your meal. I will pass them on to our kitchen in order for them to see if we can improve our services based off of your order. The girl on reception needs some PR lessons. She was uninterested and not at all inviting. The bar staff were very nice. The room key did not work for both nights we were there. We were locked out on the street as the key would not let us in. Staff were not at all interested or apologetic when we complained about it .

nice room, staff were able to check us in early as we arrived on an early flight which was super helpful. Breakfast buffet good was on a usiness trip so just wish I had more time to spend in my room :)

Room was nice, except the curtains made it look like a murder scene. Booked Sunday to Wednesday and wanted to change to Monday to Thursday, couldn't do it without a huge charge. Stayed somewhere else instead. Staff were pleasant, room was clean, quiet but the usb charger port didn’t work.

The service was good and the staff always friendly and helpful. The facilities are starting to feel a little tired, though, with low height and low pressure showers one example. More disappointing in 2019 is the lack of vegan food choices. No dairy-free spread at breakfast? This despite other hotels in the same chain elsewhere in NZ offering Olivani olive oil spread as standard. Overall, it’s a well-located and decent place to stay for business and short leisure stays, but far from the best that Novotel offer.

very good,other than asking for an early morning taxi that never came. after checking with the company, they had never received a request for one from the hotel staff. keys to hotel room would not work.
