We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the location of the hotel. The only other comment - the coffee maker in the room needs replacement. The 'start' button would not always activate, even after multiple attempts to push it on. Several times when it finally engaged, only about one inch of coffee dropped into the cup, even though there was sufficient water. We did not report this to the front desk, however, if we did, we have no doubt they would have taken action to correct the problem.

Expectations were far from met during our stay. Upon arrival to our "upgraded room" we noticed the overwhelming need for a refresh at this hotel. There was plenty of evidence that extra care was not taken to ensure the room was clean and ready for new guests, such as a broken pencil with the notepad, a bottle of water that had already been opened and dust everywhere. One of the chairs was extremely worn and belonged in the trash. We asked for a flat sheet and blanket to use instead of the feather duvet. The sheet had obviously been laundered, however, the blanket did not seem fresh and smelled stale. The mattress was so worn that the slightest movement shook the entire bed. One side was warped and it was like laying on a slope. I pulled the feather mattress topper off and there were stains on it. I couldn't help but feel we were living in someone else's filth the entire time we were there. I have pictures of all of it if you'd like them. We definitely will not be staying here again. The rate for this room was astronomical considering the quality of the room. I used the gym as well, and as it appeared somewhat clean, I couldn't be sure of that after the state of our room. The selection of dumbbells available was very limited as well. The first day I was there the fridge was empty of water, so I wondered how well it was being looked after. It would be nice to have disposable wipes to clean off equipment.
