Easy check in by friendly staff, pleasant rooms and nice breakfast. Good location with easy access both to the old town and railway station. Hotel quite busy with conference delegates and tour parties but no problems faced by this. Was very surprised to find the bar closed at midnight meaning missing out on our complimentary drink. Staff very friendly.

Hotel located in a perfect location and the rooms has views, but inside room, the lighting is not proper. moreover the mirror positioned just top of the toilet and next to the sink, it was very uncomfortable to wash your face, shave, even the walkway from life to the rooms are dark didn't have any atmosphere. breakfast was average especially scarblled eggs and sausages and other food items. even the basic items Juices and coffee.

Location was the reason to choose this hotel. Hotel is clean and in fairly good shape. I had difficulties to find reasonable temperature in my room with really noisy air conditioning. Also bed was too soft for me. Breakfast was good. I did the check-in online, which should have speeded up the process, but in practice it didn't.

At check-in, I repeatedly told the reception that I was waiting for Finnair to deliver my checked bag to the hotel and pleass leave me a message when they receive a bag from Finnair. It took me two trips to the airport to find out the my bag was sitting behind the hotel desk for the whole day without any notification from the hotel reception. One of the reception staff, he seemed only interested in selling me the breakfast option rather than to follow up with my requests. The guest experience should be more than just a clean room.

We had a stay of 2 nights. We had booked the so-called junior suite. The first thing the housekeeping had to do was change the sheets as they were soiled. The neighbors were clearly heard. There is no noise insulation. Sleep was out of the question on the second night. A nightclub in the immediate vicinity played until early at 5 o'clock loud music which was clearly to hear. The suite was dark brown and without carpet. Significantly worn and has not earned 4 stars. I do not recommend this hotel any further. The staff is friendly and hard-working. The breakfast is standard and no revelation.

We had booked a twin room and informed the hotel that I needed an accessible room (in particular a walk in shower), this was confirmed by email. However, when we were checking in, I was told that I would have to pay extra for a walk in shower and it would be a double room (not twin as booked). They eventually waived the extra charge but I was not in the room I had booked! It was a double room, albeit with a shower and toilet was so close to the wall that I kept knocking the toilet roll off the wall (and I am by no means large). The hotel bar service was horrendous.... they claim to be a specialist wine bar yet trying to get a chilled glass of white wine is a tall order. The staff wander around pretending to be busy and avoiding dealing with customers.

The only but strong complain: The hotel has closed TVN24 TV channel, with explanation from reception that there are no longer TVN24 (strongly in opposition to govermental politics TV channel) available at Mercure' hotels which is a lie. At the same time the only available newspaper was a true pro-govermental "Do Rzeczy" in several editions... Does it mean the hotel has, like many state-owned companies an internal censorship??? Is it an artifact or local hotel management has it's own political policy??? In that case is it in line with Accor's policy? I could not get the knowledge at the hotel

I would like to inform, that lack of mentioned channel (TVN24) is only temporary- as we know it is due to the change of channel's frequency. Our Maintenance Manager is familiar with this case and together we are working on solution to restore that information channel to the proper way. I would like strongly underline that it has nothing to do with any politic. It’s simply a technical issue. As a hoteliers we host and welcome all guests despite their political option. I do my apologies, that reception team member did not explain it in the most understandable way, and that caused misunderstanding. Everything was as expected. The only thing was the lobby music which was not targeted to the travellers staying at the hotel. The average age of the traveller was approx. 50 + years, but the music was for the hipsters :)
