We stayed in an executive room for eight nights. Due to the facade enhancement work, there was a constant drilling just outside the wall of our room, every day from 08.45 a.m. (09.00 a.m. on Saturday), till the afternoon. The only day without drilling was Sunday. It was impossible to stay in the room during these hours because of the untolerable noise, so we had to wake up early, leave the room and have no rest until the afternoon. There were workers just outside our window during these hours, so we had to close the blackout curtains while we were at the room. Furthermore, there was no view from our window, due to scaffolding. The first day we asked the reception if we could move to a room with no noise, the answer was we couldn't. We had already paid the full amount for this booking, which was not refundable, so we could not cancel and book another hotel. This room should never have been given to a customer. This was not a room, it was a construction site. The brief information in the hotel's site about the facade enhancement does not describe the real situation. I feel offended and deceived from the hotel's decision to give me this room. I never expected something like that from a Novotel. I will not accept any apologies.

Poor. We were staying in the suite on floor 6. The outside, of this floor was covered in scaffolding with work to replace the cladding on-going throughout our stay. During each day, there was little privacy, with workmen walking past our bedroom and lounge window. Relaxing in the room during the day was impossible, with continuous drilling and hammering. This work is ongoing until September, I believe, but we were not made aware of the situation either before arrival or on check-in. I expressed our disappointment throughout our stay and on check out, but no compensation was offered.

We have been traveling around Europe and the UK, and have stayed in a number of 5 star and 4 star Accor properties (partly for reviewing for our blog, partly because I love Accor, especially Sofitels), and this hotel was the Novotel London Greenwich is the one that most exceeded expectations. From my few stays in Novotels, I'd expected a basic business hotel. The suite we were upgraded to was more luxurious and nicer than Pullman La Defense (where we stayed for 5 nights) and we were made to feel more like our hotel loyalty and status was appreciated (Pullman La Defense wasn't bad BTW, just our stay at Novotel Greenwich was better, which was opposite of what we expected).

I never stayed with you all because my flight from the USA to London was cancelled due to mechanical problems with the plane when we tried to take off and when I called to cancel they told me it was impossible to cancel and that I would not be refunded at all.

Only stayed one night but other than the staff at breakfast everything was amazing. (Let people finish eating before trying to take plates away) It was my Nephews birthday and they brought up a cake for him which he loved. Staff on reception happy and smiley. Room clean and just what we needed. V close to the dlr, perfect location.
