« Everything fine but in the last evening at the hotel, I got a severe indigestion after the dinner in the restaurant »

Staff is customer oriented and friendly, room were clean and neat. Everything was fine with my stay at Novotel Aachen City. On my last evening, I had a dinner at the hotel's restaurant where i ordered a shrimp soup with coconut and lemongrass. After half an hour, i got a severe indigestion which caused me pain and discomfort for 3 days. I recommend staying at Novotel Aachen City but I would avoid the restaurant.

To read that you did not feel well after having dinner is most regrettably to us. Please be assured that all of our products are freshly produced.We have a high level of quality standards when it comes to food and we meet all HACCP requirements. These standards are regularily checked by local auhorities and all staff members that get in touch with food and beverage have to complete an official annual test. « Stay as usual, so very nice and good »

It was again a nice stay at the hotel. The reception desk is always very attentive and helping us efficient and quickly. The bartenders are proactive and helping the customers to have a nice experience. The rooms are clean and well maintained. One item of feedback, please install more power sockets in the room, nowadays the customers have more smart devices than a laptop in the past. We had a smart watch, two smart phones and a laptop with us, not enough sockets.

« Great city centre location and helpful staff »

The hotel was nicely located, rooms were of a good standard and clean. Staff were attentive and helpful. Worthy of special mention is the receptionist when I checked out. I left at 4:30 in teh monring and he kindly volunteered to get me a "Coffee to go". On the downside. The checking in process was a little slow. The stairs down to the car park smelt of drugs, one morning I had to step over somebody in the stairwell who was clearly about to heat up drugs on a piece of foil, or had just done so.

« Bad treating with the extended staying cas »

i was very happy while check in the hotel and book throw accor hotel for the first three nights and inform the recieption when i check in that i have a medical issue for my father and i may extend my stay.. and then i went to the recieptionit was friday and informed him that i will extend untill next sunday or tuesday.. he told me the hotel is fully booked on saturday but since i stayed in three rooms with my family he told me we will do something and i thought that its done.. but on saturday and while i came back to the hotel afternoon i surprised with the recieption lady shouting in the lobby by my name.. i told here yes i’m and she told me you have to check out now because the hotel is fully booked.. i told here gently i will not check out.. she screams again and told me so i will call the police to check you out.. and my family get surprised when they found that the house keeping without any authority they collect and close my fathers room medications and all lagguages and as well his clothes and every thing.. when they informed me i told the recieption lady Mrs. warrimont and she replyes that this is normal..Whaat.. is it normal to not call me to check out and then touches my personal belonges??! she said yes and if you late until 4 pm we will send your lagguage down.. any how i’m very upset for this experience as i was a old customer for this hotel in aachen.. and i always prefer wether this Novotel or Mercure.. but this time i got very upset.. although i set with the assistance manager and she told me that this was not the right situation and not the right treating for the customers but i didn’t see any customer satisfaction.. and i also wrote a coplain to the website and they wrote that they will reply within 48 Hours but sorry for that no body replyes .. any how check my name and the duration i set in 2015 in Novotel and you will know extctly why i’m upset now with this bad experience

« Found the staff very rude - one exception Saskia was amazing! »

Saskia went out of her way to help, she was brilliant. There was a lady called Kira at reception who was rude when I checked in. There was also a couple of staff in there restaurant and the bar on the saturday 22 december and I asked for a jug of tap water. There were very rude and refused to serve us tap water they said that they could only do bottled water but would do tap by the glass. Find this very odd I have never had this problem before in Germany. Their attitude put me off eating there again.

I have stayed here before and always come back. Staff are friendly and courteous. Hotel is clean and welcoming. Breakfast is delicious. First time in Aachen as a Platinum member. Very much loved the room. This room had a Nespresso machine. Very much appreciated it. Wished it could be in all the rooms.

« Novotel Aachen is good and it should be much better »

The exterior design is fantastic. The service and staffs are excellent. Room temperature control, bed and pillows are also good. tea facilities was also nice. Now the ares of improvement: -the room design is a catastrophe. The bathroom and toilets are poles apart. If the guest need water in the toilet, then its a disaster! because s/he must walk down through the room to the other end for the bathroom -just for some water! Who have desinged such a mess!! -the entry to every room is so narrow that its not possible two people to cross each other. -the breakfast area is also too small, too chaotic. The choices are also limited. there is no fresh cheese for breakfast! no waffle making facilities... too boring.
