« Mercure -- A Wonderful Jebel Hafeet Gem »

The Mercure Grand Jebel Hafeet Al Ain Hotel is a beautiful facility perfectly located in the Jebel Hafeet Mountain(the UAE's highest peak). The staff and service are second to none -- the absolute BEST!! Upon our arrival, Rima Rawass, the General Manager and her assistant Ibrahim pleasantly welcomed guest entering the hotel and thanked departing patrons. Well-trained staff supported our stay by being available and quickly responding when needed. The rooms are spacious with lovely mountain views. The rooms are comfortable and the hotel offers many amenities (great gym, well-designed pool, spa, miniature golf course, squash court, and more). Tremendous buffet and excellent bar -- both with excellent service.

« A nice place for staycation. »

The location of hotel and the view from our room were nice. Outdoor temperatures are few degrees below the average summer temperature. The hotel is bit outdated with regard to interiors. Room service is prompt and the reception staff were helpful and professional. Pool and aqua park facilities are well maintained, however the changing area is quite far from the pool. Breakfast was satisfying with reasonable selection in buffet. Kitchen staff could be trained to be a bit more courteous. One issue that need attention is privacy in balcony - we could hear conversations from the adjacent balcony (!).

« Nice and pleasant stay for family. »

We were looking for stay for quite long time and could finally make it this time. Had went through many reviews both positive and negative, but after the stay, I found positive only. Location was awesome. Nice pool with slide. But management has to check why all the slides are not effective. Separate kids pool was added advantage for kids. Balcony view was excellent to have sunset view. Breakfast had varieties in dishes. Have requested for cake to celebrate by wife's birthday. Cake was delicious and finally come to know that it was complementary. Thanks to Management. Overall the stay was pleasant and nice.

The room wasn’t very good. There were dirty dishes the whole day in the corridors. The buffet does not have variety in food. Everything in general was average.

Overall experience was amazing as always at the hotel. However, I see there is still room for some improvements at the hotel, two of the major concerns I had is, one the entertainment system is outdated and tv systems are outdated completely, recommend to have the latest TV systems, and the 2nd one is toilets, still old fashioned, need to be updated.

« As a total it was Okay,but i have some points i would like to share them »

As a total it was good ,but i have some points i would like to share them 1 - there were open puffet in the restaurant and unless we pay for that event they won't let us set in that area , the thing is we did not want to eat ,we just want to sit and have shesha . 2- in the other restaurant there were minimum amount to pay which is 120 and they forced us to buy food and then through it because as i mentioned we just want to have shesha 3- the food and the shesha was not good . 4- they did not allow us to play in gulf area (i don't know why ???!!!) 5- they pool is good 6- the room is good 7- the view is good Thanks

The ambiance was pretty good and excellent service from staff. But the total duration of the stay per day is allowed for 21 hrs only with check in at 3pm and checkout at 12pm.

Had a great time with Kids. I don't recollect the name of person in the reception but he was great during our arrival and departure. Same with cleaning staff or staffs in swimming pools area or staffs in the restaurant. The 2 area which require attention: 1) Restaurants: The ambiance of the restaurants requires an immediate face-lift. The breakfast was good. But dinner was poor, we went to have the dinner buffet on the first night of our stay (i.e. 2nd June) the choice was very limited and quality looked very bad. The price was of a 5 star hotel and quality & choice of 2 star. So we went to down town for our dinners and lunch. 2) Fees for Squash: When we approached the staffs for squash, they informed us that, we have to pay a fee for utilizing the facility. We were bit surprised, as I have never come across a hotel, where you are required to pay for the recreation facility. If any facility has a fees, then it should be clearly mentioned, whether in the website or in the brochure etc.

« Great trip without breaking the bank »

rooms were comfortable. Property is old but fairly well maintained and clean. It has some amazing views which have not been maximised - ie rooms should have had full windows, more restaurants and bars around the edge of the hill and probably a roof top dining experience.
