As expected; Excellent service from the staff, small room initially booked for two but turned out to be too small so it was used as single room. Everything that you need is there; just not where you usually expect them (e.g. wash basin and shower in the room :-). Only small problem a vague smell from the basin in the room.

Shocking needs updating damp rooms weren't cleaned well no kettle for tea/coffee no toiletries basic wasn't the word and staff were dreadful didn't know what they were doing. I had perfume and deodorant stolen from my room reported to a gentleman at reception he didn't care and wouldn't give me HO details to complain whole experience was shocking

« Another Regular Ibis Budget »

This is very regular Ibsi Budget - you get minimum for little money. Location is super close to DLR trains and you will get to Underground in less than 20mins. One can enjoy London City views or rush of the morning hours. I did enjoy the stay.

There was no problem parking, requested ground floor room was granted, easy check in, room was clean and bright. Breakfast was good value. If you get the advanced room rate(~£35) it is very good, fully recommend, but on spot booking it is more than double the price(~£90), so not so good value. Close to DLR, though on my stay not many restaurants close by for evening meals. (Snack are available at reception)

« You get what you pay for- £30 in London »

I was not expecting much, other than a basic room. After all I was only going to be using the room from 10-30pm until 6am and for £30 you can go far wrong. The room was sufficient for my 1 night stay and I have stayed in other budget hotels which cost more and were not as good. The bed was ok, the shower was small, but served its purpose. My only complaint was that the toilet was full of brown water, which was very off putting. Staff were friendly. There is not much to do around the hotel, but I was getting an early flight the next day, so this was not a problem. Would I stay here again.... I am not sure, as the toilet issue put me off a bit.

When I stayed at the Hotel there were 3 Staff members I met. There was one black guy(sorry I can't recall his name). He was gave the best customer care. Then there was this Asian woman she was busy talking to some other people (few old guys, not sure if customers). And this was not a short time. It was evening time. When I asked her if I would be able to buy some chocolate; she showed me an annoyed face (that I am disturbing her). While she was serving me by opening the cupboard and afterward taking the payment, she was still talking to those people. Shocking.

It was my worst experience ever. Very poor standard for the price I paid. Not the neatest. very poor customer service. I cannot understand how that can be a budget hotel for the price I paid. I have paid far less for a good standard chain hotel, and you know what services come with them. It was poor all round. Terrible bathroom and toilet. No good facilities whatsoever.

Checking in was slow as the couldn't find my name even though it was clearly on the laptop. The room was dirty and the bedding had a funny smell to it. The bunk bed wasn't even made, we had to make that ourselves. Toilet wasn't clean either. After a long night on uncomfortable beds, we headed down the breakfast at 6.30am when it was open from and all the baked food was stale so clearly wasn't fresh. I understand that it is a budget Ibis but I wasn't expecting it to be this bad.
